Lasting Star Equestrian

We are a small family breeder raising exceptional equine athletes in the heart of the Midwest. Right now we are only producing one to two foals per year.

Horses raised and trained here are kept out nearly 24/7 and are handled daily. Such a small number enables us to spend ample time with each foal while balancing full time jobs. Specializing in the disciplines of hunter/jumper, eventing, and dressage.

A few months ago, we took a giant leap, and switched our entire feed program to McCauley's Feeds, it isn't stocked locally, so logistics are a bit more challenging, but I think this photo of Cali speaks for the quality of the feed--I wish I had gotten a bit better photo, but this one does the job! Cali is 20 this year, and honestly, might look the best she's ever looked while nursing. Cali is a very hard keeper when she's nursing...normally when she's nursing in the summer, I'm feeding her 3 times a day, stuffing her full of as much alfalfa as I can, and using as many as SIX different products and supplements to keep her in "decent" condition. Right now, we are using a total of three products for everyone, and Cali is the only horse getting more than one product--McCauley's Sport 14, Sport Balancer, and Rice Bran oil. Oh, and we are saving money. Huge thanks to Josie Solomon for making our lives easier and helping our girls look amazing!

Donika and I want to talk to YOU, if you are interested in learning about our in utero purchase option, and would plan to show a young horse in hand. Donika is expecting her second foal, this time by E.H. Herzensdieb, and she and I are both confident it will be special! References available.

I'm delighted to announce that Edward, now named "Clear Contender LSE", is sold to 4* rider, Alexa Thompson! We can't wait to see where they go together!

Alexa runs Clear View Equestrian Center, based in Lexington KY, and is currently training for the fall session in France with 5* rider Maxime Livio, who is currently sitting at 14th in the world.

"Ecstatic" would be an understatement for how excited we are to have placed Edward is such an amazing home, with a rider who's program I've been following for almost a decade.

This also puts 2 of our beloved California Girl's offspring in international level homes. C**t only option on her 2023 is available!

We have some incredible news to share! 5* eventer John Michael Durr / Durr Eventing & Show Jumping and I have entered a partnership on my darling, Calista Estella LSE!

I think everyone knows I'm obsessed with Calista, and it's probably clear that I'm a huge fan of JM, especially after he did such an amazing job with Lady- so what could be more exciting that putting two of my favorites together! 🤗🤗🤗

C**t only option on Cali's 2024 is available, you would be in good company!

As such, I'll also be heading to the Tryon area late this year with some room on my trailer 🙃, if anyone needs a horse hauled!
