What is Hatha Flow yoga?
Hatha Flow links the postures practiced in a regular Hatha class into a sequence of movements that "flow" with the breath in a more vigorous series. Hatha Flow involves moving from one posture to another with less rest in between and creates a strong cardiovascular and strengthening workout. This is a 75-minute class.

Variations of hip and hamstring stretches are often used as a warm-up (to release the lower back), followed by a standing sequence, balancing poses, and then seated poses at tied together with vinyasas. Class is completed with lying poses and a cool down. As in all Hatha classes, relaxation (Savasana) ends the class.

Hatha Flow is open for beginners and continuing students interested in exploring a more movement-oriented class. Hatha Flow builds strength, endurance, and a strong focus. The classroom is not heated, but the physical practice will naturally build heat in the body. This practice is joyful, therapeutic, and inspiring.

What is Yoga/Corrective Exercise/Strength?
This class is an all-levels class for both new and continuing students. We will use yoga poses at the beginning of class to open all major joints in your body. Then we will move on to strength and corrective exercises to help strengthen and align your body. We will use chairs for some of the exercises. This is a 90-minute class.
This class helps students to return to and maintain a pain-free life.

We focus on corrective postures and exercises to help with lower back, hip, knee and shoulder pain. We also work on strengthening exercises for all parts of our body. You will start to see an improvement in your health, posture, pain relief and overall wellness within a few classes! We will use yoga poses to stretch out at the end of class and finish with our famous relaxing pose (Savasana).

What is Restorative yoga?
Restorative yoga is a passive, meditative form of yoga that allows you to focus on your breath while releasing tension in your body. Unlike other forms of yoga, restorative yoga requires you to hold poses for an extended length of time, typically 5 minutes or more.
We use props like folded blankets, blocks, bolsters and sandbags. These props help support your body and allow you to deepen the pose and more fully relax for longer without exerting or tiring out your muscles. It also allows you to feel comfortable and supported, regardless of your experience with yoga. It's spa yoga!

At its core, restorative yoga is a practice of passive healing. This yoga style is known for its ability to activate the parasympathetic nervous system - the “rest and digest” part of your nervous system that helps keep basic functions working as they should. This style of yoga “restores” the body to its parasympathetic nervous system function, which helps the body rest, heal, and restore balance. This response can help slow breathing, reduce blood pressure, and produce a feeling of calm and increased well-being.

All poses are done from the floor and makes it more accessible to people of all sizes, ages, and fitness levels. Yoga is non-competitive and most positions are easily modified to fit the individual needs of the practitioner. You will start to see an improvement in your health, posture and overall wellness within a few classes! If you want to age gracefully, be sure to incorporate flexibility training.
This is a 90-minute class.
