🏈 FLAG FOOTBALL & CHEER SIGN-UP INFO 📣

Our SECOND round of sign-ups will be TODAY, Tuesday, August 25th, from 6:00–8:00 PM at the track located behind the high school football field!

📝 SIGN-UP FORMS:
If you have a 1st or 2nd grader, they should have already brought home a sign-up form from school.
If you have a Kindergartener, their forms will not be sent home until Friday.

🏈📣 These sign-ups are for Flag Football and Flag Cheer for children who entered Kindergarten through 2nd grade at the start of the 2026 school year.

💰 REGISTRATION COST:
• $40 per child
• $10 sibling discount
• No child will be turned away due to an inability to pay.

We are so excited to get another group of little Rockets ready to hit the field! 🚀💙💛

Our first round of sign-ups will be TODAY, Monday, August 24th, from 6:00–8:00 PM at the track located behind the high school football field!

🚗 IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION:
Please DO NOT park in the gravel parking lot, as there is a JV football game scheduled for this evening. If you are coming for sign-ups, please park in the grass behind the track along the railroad tracks. I will be sitting directly in front of the railroad tracks on the track holding sign-ups.

🏈 IT’S A GREAT DAY TO BE A ROCKET! 🚀💙💛

Your Youth Wellston Golden Rockets brought home not one, but TWO wins today against the Federal Hocking Lancers! 🔥

🏈 2/3/4 Grade: Our Rockets sealed the deal with a 26-13 WIN! 💪🚀

🏈 5/6 Grade: These boys fought hard for every single yard and walked off the field VICTORIOUS with a nail-biting 7-6 WIN! 🔥

I’m always preaching to our community to come out and support our youth, and this is my plea to you all once again! These kids are putting in the work, and they deserve to see the community behind them. 💙💛

🚀 Volunteers Needed – Jackson County Fair Fundraiser 🚀

The Golden Rocket Athletic Boosters are looking for volunteers to help during the Jackson County Fair!

We’ll be located under the grandstand selling Ski, Cream Soda, and bottled water to raise funds for our football program. This fundraiser plays a vital role in supporting our athletes, and we can’t do it without the help of our amazing volunteers!

‼️‼️MANDATORY PRACTICE STARTS TODAY, MONDAY, JULY 6TH‼️‼️

🔵5th/6th grade practice will run from 5:30-7:30pm and 2nd/3rd/4th grade practice will run from 6:30-8:15pm.

🟡A MANDATORY parent meeting will start promptly at 6:15pm. Please ensure that we have at least one parent/guardian for each child in attendance, as we will be going over the rules and expectations for the upcoming season.

🔵Week 1 Practice Requirements:
* Helmet
* Athletic shorts
* Cleats
* Plenty of water to stay hydrated

🟡Please do not bring shoulder pads or other equipment during the first week. You will only need the items listed above.

🔵I would also recommend not letting your child eat a full meal before practice, as most of the time that does not end well, especially in this heat.

I hope everyone has a safe weekend and enjoys all the fireworks and food. With that being said, please do not forget that MANDATORY practice will start on MONDAY, JULY 6TH, with 5th/6th grade practice running from 5:30-7:30 and 2nd/3rd/4th grade practice running from 6:30-8:15. ‼️LAST ROUND OF NON-MANDATORY CONDITIONING IS TODAY, THURSDAY, JUNE 25TH, FROM 6-7:30PM‼️

🔵Conditioning will be held behind the high school football field located at 899 S Pennsylvania Ave.
🟡 Again, this is NON-MANDATORY but your child is still encouraged to attend conditioning to better prepare for the upcoming season.
🔵Please ensure your child wears proper clothes and shoes; cleats are not required, as tennis shoes will be fine, and also make sure they bring water to stay hydrated.

5/6 graders will need to be at the field at 6pm.
3/4 graders will need to be at the field at 7pm.

It is very important that you do not arrive before your designated time slot, so we can ensure the handout process runs as smoothly as possible.
