Youth Wellston Golden Rocket Football We are an extension of Golden Rocket Athletic Booster focusing on football/cheerleading K-6th grade.

💥 🚨IT'S THAT TIME! 🚨💥

Our first round of 🏈EARLY SIGN UPS🏈 will be held THIS SATURDAY, March 14th from 12:30pm-2pm in the Wellston Intermediate/Middle School cafeteria.

🔵These sign-ups are for TACKLE FOOTBALL and TACKLE CHEER ONLY - all flag sign-ups will come at a later date, so please stay tuned for those.

🟡Things to note:
➖Tackle Football is for children who will be in grades 2-6 for the start of the 2026 school year; Tackle Cheer is for children who will be in grades 3-6 for the start of the 2026 school year.
➖The early sign-up fee is $40, with a $10 sibling discount (the sign-up fee will increase as of May 1, but the sibling discount will still apply).
➖NO child will be turned away due to inability to pay.

The Youth Wellston Golden Rocket Football 2025 season has come to a close. We concluded the season with our annual football/cheer banquet, serving nearly 200 guests and presenting awards to season participants and special mention recipients. We extend our sincerest gratitude to our dedicated football and cheer coaches, who are the backbone of this program and enable its continued success. They generously volunteer their time to the youth of this community, and we are extremely grateful for their commitment. We would also like to thank the parents for placing their trust in us. We hope to see each and every one of these kids back on the field next year!

2/3/4 equipment hand-in is scheduled for Thursday, October 30th at 5:30pm. Please bring all washed uniforms/equipment to the field.

The following items are what your child should turn in:

🔹 Players:
• pads
• helmet
• jersey
• practice pants
• game pants
• guardian cap
• practice jersey (if your child borrowed one)

🔹 Cheer:
• shell
• spanks
• bodysuit
• skirt

Our end-of-season banquet will be held on Thursday, November 6th, from 6pm-8pm. We will celebrate our youth football players & cheerleaders at St. Peter and Paul Parish Hall, located at 227 S New York Ave, Wellston, OH 45692, United States. If you have not yet, please RSVP with the number of family members who will attend with each player/cheerleader so we can ensure we have the proper amount of food. ‼️‼️2/3/4 FOOTBALL/CHEER PARENTS‼️‼️

Tonight, Thursday, October 23, AFTER PRACTICE, we will host a tailgate party for our football players and cheerleaders. We will provide pizza, chips, and drinks, along with treat bags for the football players/cheerleaders. We understand they will be missing out on the trunk-or-treat they are hosting uptown this evening, so this is our way of making it up to them!

‼️‼️WE NEED THE COMMUNITY’S HELP‼️‼️

This Saturday, October 25th, your 2/3/4 grade Wellston Golden Rockets will travel to Alexander for our second round of playoffs. A win would secure a spot for us in the championship game. The game time is set for 9am. Now hear me out: I know that is early for a Saturday morning, but it's just right down the road in Albany. I would love to see the place packed with a sea of blue and gold. This is a huge deal for our boys, and we should celebrate them together as a community! So, if you aren't busy Saturday morning, please show up and support the future of Wellston Golden Rockets football. I promise you it will mean more to those boys than you could imagine!

**LAST TACKLE FOR 6TH GRADE FOOTBALL/CHEER**

‼️‼️Tomorrow, Wednesday, October 15th, will be the last tackle for our 6th grade football/cheer. We will start promptly at 6:30pm. We will also be feeding the football players and cheerleaders pizza and chips afterwards. All family members and friends are welcome to attend.

On Saturday, October 11th, we will host our LAST youth home game of the regular season, which will also serve as our 6th grade homecoming game.

The first game will start at 10 a.m., with the second game starting at 12 p.m. We would like to invite the entire community to attend this event. As a token of appreciation, any high school or middle school football player wearing their jersey will be granted free admission.

Come show your support for these young athletes by filling the stands and cheering them on to victory, as they have shown dedication and perseverance throughout this season.
