❗SPLASH PAD TO CLOSE AFTER LABOR DAY❗

The splash pad at Wellington Community Park (8760 Buffalo Creek Parkway) will close for the season at the conclusion of its daily operating hours on Monday, September 7. It will reopen for 2027 in the late spring/early summer.

Are you super excited for the Mainstreet Market this week?! If you've had the pleasure of joining us in the past, you already know how much fun it is to stroll through Centennial Park and discover unique treasures from our talented vendors. This week, we have even more reasons to get excited! 🎉 The Liberty 250 Exhibit will be in town during the market, and trust us, you won't want to miss it! The impressive display will be up until the following day, but why miss out on the opportunity to visit our amazing vendors at the same time? Imagine learning about the history of the Civil War and the Declaration of Independence while browsing through handmade crafts, artwork, and souvenirs. You'll get to explore the exhibit and enjoy the lively atmosphere of the market all in one evening! Swing by and take a step back in time, as you immerse yourself in the fascinating stories on display. We look forward to seeing you all on Friday evening! 🎊

🧘‍♀️❗️🧘‍♂️ NEW YOGA CLASS STARTS 9/21 🧘‍♀️❗️🧘‍♂️

Our new Slow Restorative Yoga class now starts September 21!

It was initially slated to start earlier in the month, but a scheduling conflict pushed it back a week.

The weekly class runs from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Mondays in the Leeper Center (3800 Wilson Ave. in Wellington). This class is beginner friendly. No experience needed!

The August Movie Night in the Park is tonight (August 15)!

It features a showing of "Zootopia 2." Family-friendly games start at 7 p.m. and the movie starts at 8 p.m. — all at Wellington Community Park (8760 Buffalo Creek Parkway).

Also remember to "Find Recy the Raccoon" while you are at the park! Complete the scavenger hunt by finding Recy at Wellington Community Park during Movie Night, and win a prize!

The August Movie Night in the Park is this Saturday, August 15, in Wellington Community Park (8760 Buffalo Creek Parkway)! It features a showing of "Zootopia 2," with family-friendly games starting at 7 p.m. and the movie starting at 8 p.m.

🐝❗️🐝 ACTIVE SEASON FOR WASPS 🐝❗️🐝

We are now in the active season for wasps and other stinging insects, which means you may encounter them at our parks and facilities.

Act with caution if you do run into any stinging insects — especially wasps, which tend to get more aggressive and defensive later in the summer. If you see a hive or large group of wasps or bees when using our parks and facilities, please let us know at 970-568-7410 so we can come take care of it.

❗SPLASH PAD CLOSED TODAY❗

With Mother Nature giving northern Colorado a reprieve from the sweltering summer heat today (Aug. 4), we are taking the opportunity to make some much-needed repairs to the Splash Pad at Wellington Community Park (8760 Buffalo Creek Parkway). We expect it to reopen tomorrow (Aug. 5). We would like to thank members of the public for their patience as we complete this work.
