Redesigned anew for 2017, the only disc golf course in Lorain County is an 18 hole, par 58, very wooded and unique challenge in scenic and amenity friendly Findley State Park: All kinds of camping choices, boat rentals, a beach, nature center, mountain biking and more. A Tim Krosse creation, redesigned by Adam Selzer- to score well here you will need a precise, well rounded game, but the challenges are easy to read and follow for newcomers to the sport. Majority of the club physical effort (as opposed to majority of money which goes to baskets!) goes towards navigating the swampiness this time of year. I don't know how to quantify how much wood chips we've spread over the last couple weeks. But it's also irrigation and edging and planting season. Way to go Findley Flight Club!

Spring has sprung! It's ramp season, and time to clean up after winter and spring storms. And you may have noticed 2 brand new red Prodigy baskets on the Red/Original Course. The better of the two damaged / replaced baskets was repaired and used to upgrade the elevated basket. Overall big upgrades on Red 5, 13, and 14! All paid for and executed by the Findley Flight Club!

It's that time of year- Get those orange-ish, grey, and tie-dyed discs out of your bag if you can! In fact, maybe it's a good time to get accustomed to your glow bag for the winter Glow-golf season, although they can be tough in the leaves as well. Best advice: Throw easier to find colors, know where the bad spots are (oak trees, where the acorns live) and use a spotter as needed!

remember, league is year round, Tuesdays at 6, weather permitting.
Besides general maintenance, we are working on adding a short basket on F, and elimination of handful of turf tees and broken tees when the weather gets good enough for concrete work. Also trying to add a small memorial and a historical sign for double Mando, and more! Stay tuned

Reminder that Sunday June 18th there is a race on the mountain bike trail. The disc golf course is still open, but be extra careful before you throw on holes where the trail crosses our layout, and mostly don't loiter or set your bag down on the trail! That is what is avoidable, if we are just a little extra thoughtful for a day!
Also, we are doing some final course prep for next weekend's tournament (Ohio Amateur Championships), which entails a lot of cleanup, mowing, trimming, and OB marking. Then at about 12:30 we will transition to "Spotter training/ prep". We need people for both, so come on out! Starting on holes 4, B, and E if you are looking for us, starting at about 9:00 am

Lots going on here. If you zoom in under the horses head, you can see Nate Randall and Kodi Stewart fishing a disc out of the water. Also, the sign in foreground on left says "CAUTION you are entering a disc golf course" so they actually stopped just short of the fairway and are mostly out of the way.

Red 15/ Blue 6B, aka Lollipop Hole, now has a new tee pad! We ask that everyone stay off the fresh concrete till Wednesday to keep the rough/ grippy finish from getting smoothed out right away.

The new tee for 9 Red/Original course is official. We'll clean up more on left side of fairway over time, but otherwise this is the new version. Still a par 3, but harder to get to the green than the old tee. That old area is where we hope the picnic tables can congregate and stay off the fairways. And the new hole flows a lot better from 8's basket.
