Steady state cardio vs. high intensity interval training? Which should you do!

Both are great, so work to your fitness level!

High intensity interval training is great for fat burn and burning a lot of calories in a short amount of time! But it can also result in injury if done too often or not at the right intensity for your fitness level and it can definitely be uncomfortable.
Steady state cardio is great because fat is the main source of energy when you work at a lower intensity. This can also be more enjoyable and there’s less chance of injury. The downside is that you have to do cardio for a longer period of time to see results and it can get boring for some. Need some ideas for either one? I’m your girl 💪🏼💜

During every consultation, I ask, “what’s one thing that you’ve never been able to do that you want to be able to do?” This is something that has nothing to do with weight or nutrition or looks. Most of the time the answer I get is “I wish I could do a pull up... but that won’t happen so I guess...” stop there! You are strong enough. You are capable. With the proper training for it, I promise you can do pull ups or push ups or marathons or walk confidently into the gym or whatever it is that you have told yourself you cannot. You can. Don’t set a new year’s resolution this year! You read that right, resolutions are about changing yourself, changing something that you see as unacceptable. So rather than setting a resolution that says you are not worthy the way you are, set intentions for this coming year. Intentions are not about how you can change yourself in the coming year, they are about how you can enhance the life you are living. My intentions are to be more present and to love the body I’ve worked so hard on and that works so hard for me. 💜What are your intentions for 2020? 🥂

For me, working out isn’t the hardest part, it’s actually my favorite part of any day! Eating correctly on the other hand, that I struggle with. Finding delicious, healthy recipes is key for my fitness goals and this is one of my favorites! Staying healthy doesn’t have to be boring and bland, it can be fun! Just like working out 😜💪🏼💜
