▪️BTA closed its Gauntlet of Polo campaign on the sport’s biggest stage, advancing to the U.S. Open Polo Championship final!
▪️10-goaler Tomás Panelo led all Gauntlet players with an average of 4.6 field goals per game.
▪️KC and Steve Krueger brought a rare family dynamic to the Gauntlet, competing side by side as a husband-and-wife duo.
▪️BTA ranked fourth among Gauntlet teams, averaging 7.9 field goals per game.
▪️KC Krueger made her U.S. Open debut and became the first woman to reach the final in more than a decade.
▪️Panelo’s string stood out throughout the U.S. Open, earning five Best Playing Pony honors: Peña Green Day (Yatay Anhelo x Yatay Pearl Jam), two-time recipient Dolfina Amar A Dios (Dolfina Guitarrero x Dolfina Caridad), Lovelocks Boo (Open El Padrino x Surprise) and Dolfina Murano (Dolfina Guitarrero x Fax Cherokee).

• La Dolfina/Scone opened the season with back-to-back trips to Gauntlet of Polo championship finals, competing for both the C.V. Whitney Cup and USPA Gold Cup titles.
• A consistent offensive presence throughout the Gauntlet, La Dolfina/Scone scored 125 field goals, the second-highest total among all teams.
• 10-goaler Poroto Cambiaso ranked second among all Gauntlet players in both field goals, averaging 4.4 per game, and throw-in wins, averaging 6.1 per game.
• From the penalty line, Rufino Merlos converted 33 of 37 attempts for an impressive 89% success rate.
• Efficiency in open play was another strength, with La Dolfina/Scone converting 49% of its field-goal attempts, second best among all Gauntlet teams.
• Recognized for his sportsmanship on and off the field, Jesse Bray received the U.S. Polo Assn. Sportsmanship Award following the C.V. Whitney Cup final for his positive attitude, fairness and continued support of his peers.
• Max Torokvei and Bruce Gottwald also saw action during the Gauntlet, stepping into the La Dolfina/Scone lineup as substitutes during the season.
• La Dolfina/Scone’s horsepower also earned recognition throughout the U.S. Open Polo Championship with Sapo Sabrina (DS Rubio x Sativa) named Best Playing Pony in Game 5 and Dolfina Baby Face (Dolfina El Boeing x Barbara) earning the honor twice, in Games 16 and 19. At the conclusion of the season, Bam Bam (Open Corrupto x Bendito Mariposa), played by Poroto Cambiaso and Rufino Merlos and owned by David Paradice, received the prestigious Wembley Award, recognizing exceptional performance and longevity throughout a career in high-goal polo.

• The Gauntlet of Polo featured several memorable Cambiaso family matchups, with Adolfo Cambiaso facing his son, Poroto Cambiaso, five times during the season.
• Diego Cavanagh powered the attack, finishing among the Gauntlet’s top 10 scorers with an average of 5.8 goals per game.
• The lineup featured 3-goalers Sterling Giannico in the C.V. Whitney Cup, with Joao Pedro Souza Ar**ha joining the team for the Gold Cup and U.S. Open.

- Castagnola ranked second among all Gauntlet players with 2.6 assists per game.
- Castagnola’s string also stood out during the U.S. Open, earning three Best Playing Pony honors: Luca Sofi (Open Iphone x Aguada Geisha) in Game 9, Chalo Ministra (Rector x Plumita) in Game 20, and Aguante Tati (Machitos Libano x Machitos Ink) in Mini Quarterfinal 1.
- Benji Daniels made his Gauntlet of Polo debut in the U.S. Open Polo Championship, stepping into the lineup for team owner Marc Ganzi.
