We spend a lot of time thinking about stirrups. Probably more than is normal.
But we think about them because what happens at the rider’s foot doesn’t stop at the rider’s foot. It changes how we sit, how we move, how we use our bodies, and ultimately, what the horse feels underneath us.
That connection is what interests us.
Rider biomechanics and horse welfare aren’t two different subjects. Change something for the rider, and you may change something for the horse too.
And they are, after all, the whole reason we’re here 🖤.
