An Open Letter to Spartan Nation
Today marked our final summer workout.
On the surface, it was just another training session. But for me, it was so much more.
This summer reminded me that football has never been about a building. It’s never been about a weight room. It’s about people.
When we unexpectedly lost our home for summer workouts, this community never blinked.
CrossFit St. Charles opened their doors and welcomed us like family. Our players embraced every challenge. Parents made it all work behind the scenes. Our boosters continued finding ways to support every need.
No excuses.
No complaints.
Just relentless effort.
That’s culture.
It’s easy to talk about family. It’s much harder to live it.
This summer, I watched people do what was necessary, not because it was easy, not because anyone was watching, but because they believe in every player and believe in this program.
As I sit here this morning, I’m honestly overwhelmed with gratitude.
Grateful for our players.
Grateful for our parents.
Grateful for CrossFit St. Charles for believing in us and opening your doors when we needed a home.
Grateful for a coaching staff that didn’t wait to be asked. They simply led. They did what was necessary because that’s who we are. They carried the standard, lived our culture, and continued building leaders every single day.
Grateful for our boosters.
Grateful for every person who quietly did the right thing for the betterment of FHC Football.
This program is special because of its people.
To everyone who opened a door, gave their time, solved a problem, encouraged a player, or simply showed up, thank you.
You are the reason our culture is strong. You are helping shape the next generation of Spartans, on the field, in the classroom, and in life.
The foundation has been laid.
Now it’s our turn to honor your investment. Every rep. Every practice. Every snap. Every Friday night. We will carry this summer with us, and we’ll represent Spartan Nation the way it deserves to be represented.
