20 years ago on a day very similar to today in late late April, on a glacier very similar to this glacier (but on Lookout), the SmudFly was born. Do you remember? If you know, you know! We are excited to bring back this long lost spring park for all of our dedicated pass holders today! See you @ 11am!

Late late April, and green green grass, but we’ve stacked up our own little slice of winter paradise in the Terrain Park. SLUSH PARK is today (April 25) from 11am-3pm in the Village. Let’s GO!! πŸ‘ŠπŸ”₯β€οΈπŸŒ΄πŸ”οΈ

*Open to unlimited Welch Village season pass holders only.

Park Crew got things dialed in tonight… tomorrow is going to be one for the books! πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘ŠπŸ”₯

The snow is pushed out and the stage is set. Slush Park is tomorrow! 11am-3pm, Saturday April 25th. Oh, and the Rope Tow will be running! πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

Important capacity reminder: In order to provide the best experience possible with the current size of our glacier, we have decided to make the Slush Park event exclusive to our unlimited Welch Village Season Pass Holders only. Welch Village Pass Holders must present their physical pass card at our Main Chalet outdoor ticket windows to obtain their lift ticket upon arrival (same process as during the regular season), and no online reservations will be needed. There will be no additional charge to our unlimited Passholders for this event. πŸ‘Š

-Since we will only have snow in the Terrain Park, guests will need to hike from the Base Area to the top of the Terrain Park to access the slope. Only guests who obtain a lift ticket for the day are allowed to hike to the Terrain Park. There will not be a spectator area for this event. Expect potentially muddy conditions on your way up to the park. πŸ€™

-Our Main Chalet will be closed for the event, and there will not be food or beverage available. Guests are encouraged to pack a lunch/water if they need it. As a reminder, Welch Village does not allow carry on alcohol, etc.

Quite a bit of rain in the Village last night, but it looks to have just greened up the grass, as our little slice of winter heaven is still standing! We will begin pushing out the snow today for our Slush Park event that will happen tomorrow (April 25th) from 11am-3pm! As a reminder, due to space constraints, the event will be for unlimited Welch Village pass holders only. Let’s go!! πŸ˜ŽπŸŒ΄πŸ‘ŠπŸ”₯

πŸ“’ The thermometer might be hitting 80+ degrees this week, but we will be shredding in the Welch Village Terrain Park in just a few short days! The Slush Park will be open from 11am-3pm on Saturday, April 25th, and the weather is looking absolutely primo! Bring your sunscreen! πŸŒ΄πŸ˜Žβ„οΈπŸ”₯

Important capacity update: In order to provide the best experience possible with the current size of our glacier, we have decided to make the Slush Park event exclusive to our unlimited Welch Village Season Pass Holders only. Some additional important event information below:

-As of right now, it’s looking very promising for us to be able to run a portion of the Rope Tow for the event. In the event that our Rope Tow cannot be used due to lower than expected snow levels, we plan to offer a hike park. Stay tuned!

πŸ“’ SURPRISE!! SLUSH PARK - APRIL 25TH

We’ve been hoarding our very own glacier here in the Terrain Park… A few weeks ago when the Village closed for the season, our trusty Groomers piled up a TON of snow in the Park in hopes of offering some leftovers to scratch that spring shredding itch! On Saturday, April 25th, the Village will be reopening a Spring Slush Park (with limited capacity) from 11AM – 3PM with whatever snow we have left! πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘ŠπŸ”οΈβ„οΈ

Some very important information below:

-Season passes will not be valid for this event, and capacity will be limited (more on that below).

- We plan to wait and see how much snow we have next week to decide on a capacity (once the glacier is fully pushed out). Once we know what our capacity will be, we plan to put a select # of lift tickets for sale in our online store. We will announce when this is happening. Once the lift tickets sell out, no other tickets or passes will be offered for this event. Tickets will be a nominal $ amount, and will be first come first served.

-We are hoping to offer a portion of our Rope Tow for this event, but this will be TBD based on snow levels next week. In the event that our Rope Tow cannot be used due to lower than expected snow levels, we plan to offer a hike park. Stay tuned! No other slopes will be open at this time.

-Since we will only have snow in the Terrain Park, visitors who obtain a daily lift ticket for this event will need to hike from the Base Area to the top of the Terrain Park to access the slope. Only guests who obtain a lift ticket for the day are allowed to hike to the Terrain Park. There will not be a spectator area for this event. Expect potentially muddy conditions on your way up to the park.

-Our Main Chalet will be closed for the event, and there will not be food or beverage available. Guests are encouraged to pack a lunch/water if they need it. As a reminder, Welch Village does not allow carry on alcohol, etc.

-As always, weather in the spring can be very variable. We plan to hold this event rain or shine, unless thunderstorms or lightning prevent otherwise. Stay tuned to our social media for all updates!
