Congratulations to our Little Miners (T-Ball) and Coalfield Cubs (Coach Pitch) on two exciting wins yesterday!

The Little Miners edged out the Little Owls in a thrilling 13–12 victory, showing great effort and determination all the way through.

The Coalfield Cubs faced off against the Rugrats in a true nail-biter, coming away with a 5–4 win. Down by one with two outs on the final pitch, Jensen delivered in the clutch, sending a ball out to center field to secure the win—an incredible finish!

👏 Shoutout to Coaches DJ Green, Stephen Ford, and Traci Green for their continued dedication and leadership. The team is building strong momentum, and the hard work being put in is clearly paying off.

We are proud of all of our players for their hustle, sportsmanship, and heart on the field!

Join us this morning at Paul Jones Park as we celebrate Opening Day!

🎉 Ceremony starts at 9:00 AM

✨ Come see all the field improvements — you’ll hardly recognize it. This field has had a full glow-up thanks to our amazing community 💯

Then settle in for a full day of baseball:
⚾ 9:30 – Lil Sluggers vs Little Owls
⚾ 10:30 – Little Miners vs Mini Wheats
⚾ 11:30 – Coalfield Cubs vs Sour Patches

Join us Saturday, April 18th, 2026 as we kick off another incredible season of Welch Little League—a day filled with hometown pride, hard work, and the joy of the game.

🎉 Opening Ceremony begins at 9:00 AM
Come early and help us celebrate our players, coaches, and community as we throw out the first pitch of the season!

From our tiniest sluggers to our seasoned players, the fields will be full all day with exciting matchups you won’t want to miss 👇
