The Weirton Board of Parks and Starvaggi Memorial Pool staff want to remind all patrons of the general pool and facility rules. We kindly ask all patrons to review and adhere to our rules while visiting our pool and park. Our main goal is to promote a safe and enjoyable environment for all of our visitors and staff.

General Pool Rules

*No outside food or beverages permitted (no coolers, cooler bags, etc.)

*Food and drinks purchased on site cannot be taken beyond designated dining areas

*Mandatory pool breaks 10 minutes in length will be observed every hour in which all patrons of any age must exit the water

*All patrons in the swimming pool must recognize the authority of the lifeguard staff to maintain safety; patrons who disregard lifeguard instruction may be ejected from the pool and membership privileges may be revoked without reimbursement

*Youth visitors who cannot swim must be accompanied by an adult at all times

*All swimmers must shower before entering the pool

*Floatation devices that cannot be secured to the body of non-swimmers of any age may be employed (Along with many other things, this means no "swimmies" or other inflatable devices, no noodles used as floatation devices); if you have questions call the main office

*Mermaid swimsuits are prohibited

*All visitors to the pool are subject to all posted and/or verbally related rules

Starvaggi Memorial Pool (SMP) will host Thursday Night Theater and Summer Pool Party on Thursday, June 18, 2026 from 8-11 p.m. Our feature film of the evening will be “Zootopia 2 ”. The movie will begin at approximately 9 p.m.

This event is open to all ages! The cost of admission to the party is $5 per person. Concessions will be available at an additional fee. SMP pool passes will not be honored during this event.

SMP TO HOST YOUTH SWIMMING LESSONS

WEIRTON - Starvaggi Memorial Pool will be hosting Youth Swimming Lessons for children 4-12 years old. Children who will be turning 4-years old by the end of June are also eligible to participate.

The lessons will be conducted in five sessions over a two-week period. All sessions will take place from 6:00-7:00pm.

Session dates are as follows:
- Monday, June 15
- Wednesday, June 17
- Thursday, June 18
- Monday, June 22
- Wednesday, June 24

The registration fee is $65 per child for members of the Weirton Millsop Community Center (WMCC) or Starvaggi Memorial Pool seasonal membership holders. The registration fee for non-members is $75 per child. Discounts are available for families with multiple children participating in this program.

Class size is limited, so don’t miss out! Applications are available at the Weirton Millsop Community Center front desk.

SMP CURRENTLY OPENING AT 4 P.M. ON WEEKDAYS

WEIRTON — While local high schools remain in session, Starvaggi Memorial Pool will not open until 4 p.m. on weekdays.

The final day of school, locally, will be June 4. Beginning Friday, June 5, Starvaggi Pool will open at 12 p.m. daily, weather permitting.

Park Board staff reminds patrons to be mindful of local weather reports as severe weather may impact open hours.

Starvaggi Memorial Pool will open for the 2026 summer season on Saturday, May 23 at noon!

For opening weekend we will be open from 12 - 8pm (weather permitting) 🌞

Daily admission is $5 per person to enter facility. Children under 3-years old enter for free. We accept cash and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, and Discover). Credit card purchases must meet the $25 minimum

Summer membership passes can be purchased in the office. The cost of each membership is $50 per person for Weirton residents or $65 per person for non-residents

Concessions by Davis Food Express will be available for purchase at the pool deck concession stand 🍟🍕

WEIRTON — Registration is currently under way for the Weirton Board of Parks & Recreation Tennis Camp to be held at Starvaggi Memorial Park from June 8-12th.

Instruction is slated for children in first through ninth grade.

Grades 1-4 will be on the courts from 9 - 10:15 a.m. and grades 5-9 from 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.

The entry fee for the camp is $45 for 1st to 4th graders and $50 for 5th to 9th graders.

Grade determinations will be based on the grade you will be entering for the upcoming school year. All campers must bring two cans of tennis balls, tennis racket, and water with them.

Now Hiring Summer Help for Starvaggi Pool

WEIRTON – The Weirton Board of Parks and Recreation is now accepting applications for seasonal part-time positions at Starvaggi Memorial Pool (SMP).

The Park Board is seeking applicants to fill lifeguard, light maintenance, cashier, and supervisor positions for the 2026 summer pool season.

Applications are available at the customer service desk of the Weirton Millsop Community Center (WMCC). The deadline to apply is May 11, 2026.

All lifeguard applicants must be currently certified through the American Red Cross, or able to complete a course offered by the Park Board prior to the summer pool season.

Applicants must be at least 15-years old with reliable transportation and flexibility to work afternoon, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.

All supervisor applicants must have verifiable supervisory experience.
