Trojan families, please save and share our updated 2026 Football & Cheer schedule! We have an exciting stretch of the season ahead, and we’re looking forward to seeing our Trojan families and community filling the stands and cheering on our athletes!

🏠 IMPORTANT LOCATION UPDATE:
All HOME events for the remainder of the season will be held at Mount Shasta High School.

📣 PRACTICE LOCATION HAS NOT CHANGED!
Football and cheer practices will continue to take place at W**d High School.

We want to extend a huge THANK YOU to both Mount Shasta High School and W**d High School for supporting the Siskiyou County Trojans and helping provide opportunities and spaces for our young athletes to practice, compete, grow, and make memories. We truly appreciate both programs welcoming and supporting our Trojan family! ❤️💛

🏠THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME!🏠

Our first home game of the 2026 season is officially in the books!

Saturday was a beautiful summer day at Legion Stadium at W**d High School. With sunny skies, temperatures in the mid-80s, and beautiful Mount Shasta soaring above us, fans and families greeted one another ready for a fun and exciting day of youth football and cheer! ☀️🏔️❤️💛

🍔🌭 THE TROJANS SNACK SHACK IS OPEN!

New this season — a Trojans-run Snack Shack! And WOW! The burgers, hot dogs, and other snacks were absolutely fabulous!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who volunteered their time to shop, prep, cook, serve, clean, and help make the Snack Shack happen. And thank you to everyone who stopped by and purchased food throughout the day. Every purchase helps support our Trojan athletes and program! ❤️💛

📣✨ CHEERLEADERS CHEERING FOR CHEERLEADERS ✨📣

The cheer teams on both sides of the field carried themselves with class and brought loads of positive, encouraging energy for one another and their teams.

Earlier this year, some of our Trojan Cheerleaders attended ACDC Cheer Camp alongside members of Wolves Cheer, so it was no surprise to our girls when the Wolves took the field with exciting halftime routines featuring huge tumbling passes and great stunts! 👏✨

Then it was time for our Trojans to take the field!

Our cheerleaders were excited to show their hometown crowd everything they’ve been working on, and hearing friends and family comment on how far this program has come in just three years made the day even more special.

From sideline cheers and dances to tumbling, stunts, and now PYRAMIDS — Trojan Cheer continues to grow both the sport of cheer and cheer culture here in South County. ❤️💛📣

And our OG Trojan Cheerleaders got an extra-special surprise when coaches from our very first season came out to support the girls and see how much they’ve grown! 🥹❤️ Thank you for continuing to show up for these athletes and for supporting Trojans Cheer through every stage of our growth.

🏈❤️ COURAGE. PURPOSE. PERSEVERANCE. 💛🏈

It was a tough day of competition for Siskiyou County against a large and talented Shasta Jr. Wolves program.

Our Trojan teams entered Saturday significantly outnumbered, but they stepped onto that field with courage and purpose and competed until the final whistle.

The Wolves took home wins at all four levels, but the scoreboard doesn’t tell the whole story of a team.

Our Trojans never gave up the fight.

They continued to work together. They encouraged their teammates. They got back up. They lined up again. And they kept playing.

There are lessons learned in the wins, but there are also incredibly important lessons learned on the hard days. Resilience is built when things aren’t easy.

We are proud of our athletes for continuing to fight for one another and showing what it means to be a teammate. ❤️💛

Home games don’t happen without an incredible amount of work behind the scenes.

To everyone who set up the field, worked the gate, cooked and served in the Snack Shack, helped on the sidelines, kept things running throughout the stadium, cleaned up, or simply came out and filled the stands to support these kids — THANK YOU!

And thank you to the Shasta Jr. Wolves athletes, coaches, cheerleaders, families, and fans for making the trip north and spending the day with us at Legion Stadium!

Practice resumes tomorrow for our Trojans, but we have the next two weekends off from games!

The first game of the 2026 season is officially in the books! ❤️💛

Saturday, August 15, was a beautiful, sunny day in Shasta Lake, where our good friends, the Central Valley Youth Falcons, hosted a fabulous day of football and cheer!

The Falcons, their families, fans, and volunteers always greet us with smiles and stellar sportsmanship. Fans gathered wherever shade could be found, enjoyed treats from the snack shack — especially those giant lemonades! — and, of course, cooled off with Kona Ice snow cones. 🍋🍧☀️

With a great view of the beautiful turf field from every seat in the stadium, it was time for the Trojans to face off against our non-division opponents, the Falcons!

🏈 8U TROJANS — WIN 19–7! ❤️💛

This team may be tiny, but even MIGHTY feels like an understatement when describing their determination!

Breakaway speed and an impressive understanding of teamwork led to three HUGE highlights — touchdown runs of 42 yards, 69 yards, and an outstanding 81 yards! 🔥🏃‍♂️💨

What a way to start the season! We CANNOT WAIT to see more from this team!

🏈 10U TROJANS — EFFORT. ATTITUDE. TOUGHNESS.

Our 10U Trojans fought hard against an extremely tough Falcons team, many of whom competed in the 8U Championship during the 2025 season.

With only five returning 10U Trojans, a few athletes moving up from 8U, and many playing tackle football for the very first time, this is a young team learning and growing together.

The Trojans may not have taken home the win, but they found the end zone and NEVER gave up. They showed exactly what their head coach asks of them:

E.A.T. — Effort. Attitude. Toughness. 💪❤️💛

We’re proud of how this team is coming together and excited to see what they can do in the SVL division as they continue to learn, grow, and gain confidence together!

🏈 12U TROJANS — WIN 35–0! ❤️💛🔥

Our 12U Trojans got that W with an impressive 35–0 final score!

With plenty of seasoned Trojans on the roster, their experience shone through. The team put points on the board with two interception returns for touchdowns, a passing touchdown, and two rushing touchdowns!

Offense. Defense. Teamwork. 💪

There is no doubt this team has an exciting season ahead!

🏈 14U TROJANS — FIGHT TO THE FINISH

Our 14U Trojans advanced the ball time and time again, falling just short on multiple scoring opportunities.

With more than half of the team playing tackle football for the very first time, we are incredibly proud of their performance and determination.

They celebrated a hard-earned touchdown and continued fighting until the very end. This group showed grit, heart, and plenty of potential. We know this team is going to do great things this season! ❤️💛

📣✨ TROJANS CHEER BROUGHT THE SPARKLE! ✨📣

Our cheerleaders did an AMAZING job on the sidelines, keeping the energy high no matter which way the games went.

And can we talk about those HALFTIME SHOWS?! 🤩📣

Our Trojan Cheerleaders have come SO FAR over the last three years! The tumbling. The stunts. The confidence. The smiles. The STAR QUALITY! ⭐️

Trojans Cheer sparkles and shines ALL THE TIME! ❤️💛✨

🤝 BUT THE BIGGEST WIN OF THE DAY WAS SPORTSMANSHIP.

The absolute best part of Saturday was witnessing the impeccable sportsmanship shown by all of the athletes — Trojans and Falcons alike.

The cheerleaders could not have been more excited or encouraging toward one another. On the field, play after play and tackle after tackle, Trojans and Falcons helped each other up, checked on one another, and competed with a level of maturity well beyond their years.

This is what youth sports is all about.

Yes, we teach football.
Yes, we teach cheer.
Yes, we love touchdowns, stunts, big plays, and W’s.

But more importantly, we are helping teach young athletes HONOR. INTEGRITY. CHARACTER. ❤️💛

Those are victories that last far beyond the final whistle.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our families and community members who traveled to Shasta Lake and showed up to support these kids!

And thank you once again to our always-gracious hosts and good friends, the Central Valley Youth Falcons, for another wonderful day of youth football and cheer. ❤️💛💙
