❤️ Help Keep Lake Wedington Open

Did you know that Lake Wedington Recreation Area is still closed to the general public?

After the park closed in 2020, aging infrastructure—including broken water lines—left the area in need of extensive repairs. Thanks to the incredible efforts of the Friends of Lake Wedington, volunteers have been working tirelessly to restore this special place so it can one day fully reopen for everyone to enjoy.

We're incredibly grateful that Chinkapin Hollow Gravel Grinder is among the few events still permitted to operate in the park. Lake Wedington is the heart of these events, and we couldn't do it without the dedication of this amazing volunteer group.

The Friends of Lake Wedington regularly host volunteer work days, and they would love your help! Whether you can lend a hand for a few hours or simply want to support their mission, every effort makes a difference.
