School cheer season may end in October, but the fun doesn’t have to! 🤸♂️

Sparkle Squad is for the girls who love the energy of a team, a sharp pom routine, learning new tricks, and hearing the music start. We’ll mix dance, pom, and acro while keeping those skills and that team spirit going all year long.

And they’ll be learning from teachers who have been there: collegiate dance team experience, Boston and Nazareth performances, and UDA competition floors included. 💗

Wednesdays in November | 6:15–7:15 PM
Ages 5–7

Because once you find your sparkle, you don’t just turn it off!

Talent might get you noticed. WORK is what makes the difference. 🔥

The extra repetitions.
The corrections you have to try again.
The strength you build when nobody is clapping.
The discipline to keep going when a skill doesn't come easily.

Competitive dance is about so much more than trophies. It's about learning how to push through challenges, trust your training, and show up for your team.

At Roc, we believe in developing dancers who are strong in their technique, confident in their abilities, and proud of the work they put in.

Parents of dancers who want MORE from their training, let's talk about your dancer's goals. 💪

Six things your child can learn in dance class that go WAY beyond the dance floor. 🩰✨

1️⃣ CONFIDENCE: Trying something new, even when it feels scary.

2️⃣ DISCIPLINE: Learning that progress comes from consistent effort.

3️⃣ RESILIENCE: Falling out of a turn, getting back up, and trying again.

4️⃣ TEAMWORK: Understanding that someone else’s success doesn’t take away from your own.

5️⃣ CREATIVITY: Expressing feelings, ideas, and personality through movement.

6️⃣ BODY AWARENESS: Developing coordination, balance, strength, and control.

And the beautiful part? They don’t need to master any of these in a day. They build them little by little, class by class, experience by experience. ❤️

Dance is about what your child learns to DO, but it’s also about who they become along the way.

Save this post for the next time someone asks why dance matters! 🥹

✨ Shining a light on our Spotlight Stickers! ✨

Have you seen your dancer’s sticker book yet? 👀💕
Spotlight Stickers are one of our favorite Roc Dance traditions. Each sticker celebrates one of our five studio values:
💗 Focus
💗 Dedication
💗 Perseverance
💗 Kindness
💗 Energy

Our teachers award them when they spot a dancer truly shining in one of these areas. It might be the dancer who stayed focused through a tricky combination, kept trying until that turn finally clicked, cheered on a friend, or brought amazing energy to class.
Every dancer, from our tiniest movers to our Academy team, receives their own sticker book at the start of the season. Stickers aren’t handed out every class, so each one is extra special. They’re something to work towards, and the pride on a dancer’s face when they earn one is the best! 🥹
💬 Ask your dancer at home:
⭐ Which stickers do you have so far?
⭐ What did you do to earn your last one?
⭐ Which value are you working on next?
⭐ How can you show kindness (or focus, or energy!) in class this week?
These little conversations make a big difference, and they help our dancers see that the qualities they build at Roc Dance shine far beyond the studio. ✨

When school cheer season wraps up, the energy doesn’t have to. ✨

Shimmer Squad keeps the spirit, skills, and team vibes going with a mix of dance, pom, and acro...all in one high-energy class for ages 8–11.

And the best part? Your child will train with faculty who have been on collegiate-level dance teams, including Boston and Nazareth, and have competed at UDA. They’ve been on the floor, felt the nerves, hit the counts, and know what it takes to bring the energy. 💗

Wednesdays in November | 6:45–7:45 PM
Ages 8–11

For the kids who love a sharp pom moment, a strong skill, and a team that brings the sparkle. ✨

"I wish we had started sooner!" 🥹

We hear this from parents all the time, and here's what we want you to know: YOUR CHILD DOESN'T HAVE TO START AT AGE TWO TO FALL IN LOVE WITH DANCE. ❤️

Whether your child is a tiny twirler, a big personality who never stops moving, or a kiddo who's just now discovering dance, there's value in starting right where they are.

They don't need perfect flexibility.
They don't need to know a single step.
They don't need to be fearless.

They just need a place to start. 🩰✨

Let us help you find the right class for your dancer!

📩 Message Roc Dance, and let's talk about the best fit for your child.
