Reminder tonight (Tuesday, March 3) sports physicals will be offered at the High School FREE of charge for any student with an expired or soon to be expired sports physical. Practitioners will be available from 5:30-8:00PM. All students must have a parent/guardian attend with them. Enter through the west doors to the high school.

Special thanks to Kristin Davison, Kyle Heffernan, Jessica Kruckenberg, and Jim Kumm for partnering with Lynx Athletics to offer this service to Webster City students!

🟡🟣ATTENTION ALL 7-12 SPRING SPORT ATHLETES🟣🟡

The athletic department will once again be offering sports physicals to students with expired or soon to expire physicals on Tuesday, March 3 from 5:30pm to 8:00pm. Athletes AND a parent/guardian need to enter the Competition Gym through the west doors.

Forms will be available upon arrival but having the physical form filled out prior to arriving will speed up the process for athletes. Physical forms can be found at the middle school and high school main offices.

Tonight would have been the last home basketball game for our boys basketball players and cheerleaders. Due to weather, tonight’s game has been cancelled and so has their senior recognition night. So to honor these athletes for all their contributions to Webster City Basketball, we would like to recognize them here.
Jaxon Griffith is the son of Allisa Fox and Ryan Griffith and Alysha Hogan. His future plans are to attend Iowa Central Community college to study criminal justice. Jaxon’s favorite basketball memory has been all the bus rides with his teammates.
Carter Mickelson is the son of Ryan Mickelson and Erin Mickelson and Jeff Johnson. His future plans are to attend Iowa Central Community College to study medical sales. Carters favorite basketball memory was going to the summer basketball scrimmages with all his teammates.
Nathan Wardell is the son of Ashley and Chris Wardell. His future plans are to attend Ellsworth Community College to study kinesiology and sports medicine. His favorite basketball memory was beating the coaches in a 3v3 match.
Emily Carrasco is a four year member of the cheer squad. Her future plans are to study criminal justice and psychology. Her favorite cheer memory was when Denni left her shoe on a table.
Sylvia Otteros is the daughter of Quin and Rachel Otteros. Her future plans are to attend UNI to study elementary education. Sylvia’s favorite cheer memory was when she pretended to be the basketball hoop and the student section shot poms through her arms during a game.

State wresting apparel is available until Monday, February 16 at 8AM. Congratulations to Gavin Wynkoop-District Champ and Cody Elliott-District Runner Up on qualifying for the State Tournament this week. Wrestling begins Thursday, February 19 at 2:30PM at the Casey’s Event Center.

The night Lynx Basketball and Wrestling fans have been waiting for is this Thursday! The Winter Sports Pep Rally will take place on Thursday, November 20 in the High School Competition Gym.

A walking taco supper will be served at 6:00pm and the pep rally will begin at 7:00 pm. The supper will include a walking taco, peanut butter bar, and water for $6. New to the concession stand this winter is the option to pay with a credit/debit card which will be available on Thursday night (cash is also an option).

After the pep rally athletes and coaches will stick around to meet the fans, sign autographs, and interact with future lynx players.

Come and find out about the upcoming winter sports seasons and support the winter athletes and coaches as they kick off the 2025-2026 season this week.
