Join us Friday, September 25 from 7:00–8:30 p.m. at the Weaverville Community Center for Borderlands, a thought-provoking evening presented by In Other Words.

Directed by Deborah Kinsey and Don Martin, the program explores the complicated issues, emotions, and realities that emerge when arbitrary lines are drawn.

Through poetry, essays, stories, and music, Borderlands invites us to consider the meaning of borders and the human experiences connected to them. This program is intended for mature audiences.

We would like to thank our pickleball community for sponsoring a luncheon to recognize Weaverville Public Works staff for their dedication and hard work in keeping our town and parks and recreation facilities in great shape for residents and visitors to enjoy.

We truly appreciate their recognition, encouragement, and support of our staff. The Public Works Department is grateful for the continued support of our community, and we’re proud to serve the Town of Weaverville!

We now observe Patriot Day annually on September 11th as a National Day of Service and Remembrance for the thousands of lives lost in the 9/11 attacks.

Please join us as we honor those individuals. The Ceremony will begin at 11am with words by Stuart Lampkin and Air Force Colonel Hank Shinn with music from Hominy Valley A-Cappella Christian Men’s Choir.

The rehabilitation of the playground at Lake Louise is under way. The Town expects this project to be completed by mid-September. Please be mindful of large equipment in the area when using the area around Lake Louise.

Ray Christian is back! October 8th 7pm
Join us for an evening of storytelling and conversation with Ray Christian, a Black veteran from the rural South whose life has taken him through academia, public speaking, podcasting, parenting, and quite literally tending goats in his backyard.
Ray brings a unique perspective and a gift for weaving together the experiences, observations, and stories that shape a life. Come listen, connect, and enjoy an evening of stories that invite us to see life from a different perspective.
