Great overnight in the Smokies this weekend! Little rainy Saturday, foggy but it cleared out late Saturday. Bagged Mt Kephart, stayed in Kephart shelter. Great sleep noise from the Kephart Prong. 💙👍🏼

Here's another amazing photo that sort of captures fall leaf colors all with just three trees! Again, shared from the web and I don't know who the photographer is, but whoever you are, thanks!

Update: WBTV this morning says the Boone area could get over 6" of rain from Hurricane Ian over the coming weekend. While that may take down some leaves, I think it's fortunate that it is coming early in the season, rather than later, because most leaves are still green, and should be mostly ok. Keeping my fingers crossed!

If we can weather the weather, my family will be heading up to Maryland for my niece's wedding, so I won't be able to scout out the mountains this weekend for you. But I'll take notice of what I see as I head north and report on that.
