The awards continue to roll in for Wes Dresselhaus, with more region-wide recognition bestowed upon him over the weekend.

The All-Superior California Football Teams were originally selected by the Sacramento Bee from 1960-1993, honoring the top high school football players from Sacramento to the Oregon boarder. In recent years NorCal Football Guys have taken it upon themselves to revive this tradition!

Split into Large, Medium and Small School Teams, these rosters honor 99 players from over 130 schools in the Northern California area. Due to his elite play on the defensive side of the ball this fall, Wes Dresselhaus was among those selected to the All-Superior California Small School Team! Congrats Wes!

Merry Christmas!🎁Santa brought a present for the Wolfpack this year, with the naming of Wes Dresselhaus to two section-wide honors lists!

The first is the official All-Northern Section team. Voted on by a panel of sports writers from the Redding Record Searchlight, Chico Enterprise-Record, Marysville Appeal-Democrat, Colusa Sun-Herald, Red Bluff Daily News and MaxPreps, this list groups the best football players from across the Northern Section. These writers named Wes the All-Northern Section Second Team punter!

The second list is compiled by NorCal Football Guys, a Northern Section-based social media account and website that dives into advanced statistics and analytics for NorCal and NSCIF football. In their Northern Section All-Star rosters they named Wes to the First Team Defense!

Congratulations to Wes for the incredible accolades!

And of course, the Mike Polka Award. Given to a senior who truly understands and represents what it means to be a teammate, a brother, and part of the Wolfpack. This year we had two recipients who were more than deserving of such an honor.

The All-League awards are voted on by all head coaches in the Shasta Cascade League. This year we had seven Wolves recognized with All-SCL honors, and one player win a league award.

Last night at the Fall Sports Banquet we recognized the 88th Trinity Football team, and presented our team awards, All-League honors, and the Mike Polka Award. This season’s team award winners are:

Our other historic performance came courtesy of senior wide receiver Miller Brown. Brown’s 183 receiving yards last Friday are the most in a single game by a Trinity player this century, and quite possibly the school’s all-time best single-game receiving performance, although that’s not verifiable at this time. Congratulations Miller!

We had a pair of milestone games on Friday night, the first of which we’ll be highlighting is that of quarterback Carver Dresselhaus. The senior passed for 215 yards against Modoc, recording only the 9th ever 200 passing game at THS, and he now occupies the 6th and 10th spots on the all-time school leaderboard. Congrats Carver!
