If you have a distance athlete that just finished middle school track and is wanting to continue to do track or is wanting to get ready for XC then they are welcome to try out a practice next week if they are interested. Congratulations to Josh Fink !! Yesterday he competed at the New Balance Nationals Indoor meet in Boston. Josh ended up getting 2nd overall in the 1,600m racewalk and also along with the first place Ian Britt both broke the meet record. This guy puts in the work and it shows !! Great job !!! Josh !!!

Today was signing day for Granbury High School, and Mach 1 is proud of Gannon Dolan, who has committed to Dallas Baptist, where he will continue to run track and cross-country. Mach 1 really enjoyed coaching Gannon as he goes down as one of the most decorated runners for the club. Congratulations Gannon !!

We just finished our cross country season. We had 6 athletes running at the AAU Cross country Junior Olympics in Knoxville,Tennessee. Congratulations to Miguel Martinez who placed our highest place getting 4th place in his age group. Ryker Reis , Jenna Fink and Machi Dolen all placed in their age groups. Sophia Rodriguez and Steven Henshaw also ran !

This morning some of the Mach 1 runners ran the Pumpkin Spice 5k in Fort Worth. Congratulations to Sophia Rodriguez she got 2nd overall female with a time of 22:52. Steven Hinshawgot 3rd overall male with a time of 18:00. Nate Favela got a PR of 21:47
Lincoln Coffey ran a 22:09 and Britain Rutherford got 8 th overall with a time of 20:17. Great job guys !!

This morning 2 of our Mach 1 runners ran the Turkey Shuffle 5k. Jenna Fink won the 5k overall a first for her she was really excited ! Her time was 22:15 and her brother Josh Fink won his first 10k also overall with a time of 37:51. What a great morning for these two !! Great job !!

This morning some of the Mach 1 runners ran at the Tricky Trinity 5k. Congrats to Miguel Martinez who got a new PR of 22:04 and won the 9 & under boys age group. Also great job to Sophia & Lyla Rodriguez who got 1st & 2nd in their age group as well !! It was a great morning to run !!

Today was the first official cross country meet as a team. We raced in Denton hosted by Lake Cities. All the athletes did great and best of all had fun ! It never gets old watching these Mach 1 athletes compete.

It’s Cross Country season !!! Mach 1 track will have signups & try outs for the upcoming Mach 1 cross country season. If you are interested we will meet at Tison middle school by the tennis courts on Tuesday & Thursday September 16th and 18th 5:45 pm to 7:00 pm. Bring work out clothes, running shorts , and a water bottle. If you have any questions please send us a private message. Hope to see y’all then !!
