Now that summer track is over. Mach 1 will have signups and tryouts for cross country ages 8-18 yrs. old Tuesday September 15th and Thursday September 17th at Tison middle school by the tennis courts.
5:50 pm to 7:00 pm if you are running for your school and are unable to make it just send us a private message.

Today was the last day of competition at the AAU Junior Olympics in Des Moines, IOWA. The Mach 1 crew ran the 3,000 m this morning. First up was Corrinna Lanham in girls 13 yr. old age group where she ran a PR of 13:54 way to go ! Then Josh Fink also got a PR of 9:59 in the boys 15-16 age group !! Great job Josh !! Finally last was Cole Bettger where he snatched the 8th place to get All American and finished the season with a PR as well with a time of 9:12 !! Way to finish the summer track season with all PR ‘s !!

Today was the 1,500 m for our Mach 1 runners. First was Josephine Heady she ran a time of 6:33 in the girls 9 yr. old age group to finish out her summer track season. Next was Miguel Martinez in the boys 9 yr. old age group he finished with a time of 5:28. To finish out the day was Jenna Fink in the girls 11 yr. old age group she finished with a PR of 5:25. Way to run guys and way to finish the season !!

Today was a very tough day for our 800 m runner Miguel Martinez. He finally got to run today after 3 delays because of weather and he being there waiting for his race for 7 hrs. Miguel finally got to run in the 800 m boys 9 yr. old age group. Even though it wasn’t a PR he still ran a 2:40 time and placed 5th in his heat and 15th overall in the Nation. Great job Miguel !!

This morning Jenna Fink ran the 3,000 m girls 11yr. old age group. She didn’t get a good start at the beginning of the race but battled herself back to the 5th place and finished really strong !! She showed how to not give up and keep working during the race !! Way to go Jenna and congratulations on making All American again !! She also had a huge PR of 11:00..93 !

Today was the 3,000 m racewalk. Our Mach 1 veteran Josh Fink got 1st place in the boys 15-16 age group and also got a PR of 13:52.97. He is now our second National. Champion joining his sister Jenna ! Way to go Josh !!!

Today was the 1,500 m racewalk . At the AAU Junior Olympics in Iowa. It was started off by Ryker Reis in the boys 9 yr. Old age group where he got 2nd place overall and a new PR of 9:38.02 way to close off his summer track season !! Way to go Ryker !! Next was Jenna Fink in the girls 11 yr. old age group where she won 1st place and also finished with a a PR of 8:30.20 great job Jenna !! Jenna is our first National Champion for the 2026 summer track season !! Really proud of these athletes they put in a lot of work over the summer and it showed today !

Last day of the AAU Region 18 meet this morning. The last event for our Mach 1 runners was the 3,000m run. Our 11,12&13 yr old girls were up first Jenna Fink got 1st in the girls 11 yr.old age group with another PR of 11:43. Salene Lanham was in the girls 12 yr. Old. she was having a hard time breathing so she did not finish but she is ok is the main thing. Corrina Lanham ran a 13:35 and finished second in her 13 yr. old girls age group. Josh Fink was up next in the boys 15-16 age group and finished 3rd place with a time of 10:15. Then Emmy Strathmeyer ran in the young women’s 17-18 age group and finished fourth place with a time of 13:11. Finishing up the day was Cole Bettger he ran even though he was not feeling well. He finished fifth place with a time of 11:38. Next stop for Mach 1 is the AAU Junior Olympics in Des Moines , Iowa !!

This morning was kicked off with the 1,500 m run at the AAU Region 18 qualifier meet. Our first runner of the day was Josephine Heady in the girls 9 yr. old age group she placed 5th and got a new PR of 6:24. Next up was Miguel Martinez and Bear Wilberts in the boys 9yr old age group Bear also got a PR of 5:58 and placed 5th overall while Miguel got 2nd overall and a new PR of 5:23. Next was Jenna Fink in the girls 11 yrs. old age group she also got a PR of 5:26 and won 1st overall. Then Kambria Evans ran in the girls 13 yr. old age group she got 6:36 and placed 5th overall. Finally Josh Fink ran in the boys 15-16 age group he finished 8th place overall with a time of 4:42. Everyone ran awesome this morning and we also had a lot of new PR’s !!! Great job Mach 1 !!!

This morning some of our Mach 1 runners ran at the AAU Region 18 Qualifier meet. Emmy Strathmeyer ran the Women’s 17-18 2,000m steeplechase and ended up with a time of 8:37 and placed second overall. Next was Josephine Heady she ran the 800m in the girls 9 yr. Old age group and finished with a personal best of 3:16. Finally Bear Wilberts and Miguel Martinez ran in the boys 800 m 9 yr. Old age group. Bear finished with a time of 3:01 and Miguel finished 1st overall with a time of 2:41. Congrats to Emmy and Miguel in advancing to this years AAU Junior Olympics!! Great job by everyone who ran today !!
