Happy Birthday to our boss lady, Maycie! ๐Ÿ–ค๐ŸŽˆ

As co-founder and co-owner of InStride, Maycie is the heart of everything we do. Her journey with horses has taken her from equine hospitals in Texas all the way to Australia's largest equine hospital, and on to managing rehab and conditioning for top level performance horses. That experience gives her a deep knowledge of equine anatomy, rehabilitation and conditioning, and it shows in the care every horse receives here.

What makes her truly special is that she does it all. She runs the business, works alongside vets and trainers, and still finds time to be hands-on in the barn every single day. She knows every horse personally, notices the smallest changes and celebrates every milestone along the way. The horses feel their best, and our team keeps learning and growing because of her.

Meet Hermes and Butters โ€” a team of horses who spent the week carrying cowboys through smoke, fire, and miles of rugged country; searching for cattle scattered by the fires.

They worked through the heat and chaos, navigating ground made even more unforgiving by the fire โ€” doing the kind of work that reminds us just how much heart, trust, and grit can be found in a good horse.

After the smoke settled, we had the privilege of giving these four-legged heroes some much-deserved rest and recovery. They were sore, tired, covered in cactus; but still willing to stand quietly while we pulled spines out one by one.

There are a lot of people โ€” and horses โ€” who quietly show up when things get hard. Weโ€™re incredibly grateful for the firefighters, first responders, ranchers, volunteers, no profit organizations, neighbors, and everyone else who worked tirelessly to protect livestock, homes, and our community.

Thank you to Butters, Hermes, and all the other horses still out there. ๐Ÿ–ค

Happy Birthday Quigley Bleu ๐Ÿพ

The face, personality, and unofficial mascot of InStride Performance Therapy!

If youโ€™ve been to InStride, chances are youโ€™ve met the one who actually runs the place. Part facility manager, part security, and full-time client relations. He takes his job very seriously โ€” greeting every client with his best looking ball or rock, oversees daily operations at the spa, and making sure no lunch goes unattended. Heโ€™s been by our side for late night foaling in the spring and early morning feeds in the summer. He even gets his workout in and swims on the treadmill just like our regular fitness horses. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

Today, our favorite four-legged manager is officially another year older, slightly wiser, and somehow even more entitled to employee benefits.

Hereโ€™s to seven years with Quigley. We could not imagine a day without him here. ๐Ÿ–คโค๏ธ
