In our Water Babies lessons, songs and toys aren’t just there to fill class time or keep little ones entertained. 💙 Every one has a purpose.
🎶 Every song becomes a cue.
It prepares babies for a movement, introduces a skill, encourages participation, and helps them anticipate what’s coming next.
🧸 Every toy becomes a teaching tool.
It gives babies something to reach for, move toward, interact with, or focus on while practicing an intentional skill.
Those familiar words, rhythms, movements, and routines become part of how they learn.
Babies thrive on repetition and ritual. When we use those routines intentionally—and allow them to evolve as a child’s skills grow—they become powerful teaching tools. They help little ones feel safe and comfortable while building new skills in a way that makes sense to them.
Yes, there’s play. Yes, there’s comfort. Yes, there’s fun. 🌊
But behind it all? There’s purpose.
Because when play and intentional teaching come together, that’s where the magic happens. 💙
