What an incredible night we had last night at the WHS Varsity Boys Soccer game! Though we did not come home with a win, the boys AND community showed up big time.

Getting to watch the young soccer athletes step onto the field under the Friday night lights, wearing their soccer jerseys with pride, was something special. It was more than just a moment — it was a glimpse of the future WHS Roo Soccer players who will one day represent our school and our town.

Seeing the excitement in their faces and the support in the stands reminded us how strong and connected our Weatherford soccer family truly is.

We are so grateful for a community that pours into our kids and continues building something bigger than the game. The future of Roo Soccer is bright — and we got to see it firsthand. 💙⚽

Senior Night is TONIGHT!
Help us celebrate our amazing seniors!
Here’s a little bit about James Kuettel #4

-Soccer has taught me to work hard when people can’t see you and always compete
-The proudest moment of my soccer career was beating North Crowley last year, who was first in district
-My parents have definitely been my biggest supporters throughout my soccer career, as well as my club coach Eric Wedel who kept believing in me through my ups and downs
-The thing I’ll miss the most about playing for this team is being with all the guys I’ve been on a team with for 3 years now
-My favorite memory is the San Antonio tournament my junior year when we were consolation champions and I scored a game winning goal for the first time
-Funniest moment was karaoke on the way to San Antonio
-Juan is definitely the one who could always get the team to laugh
-Getting to lead the team in prayer before every game has been the most meaningful tradition to me
-I want to thank Coach Z for always pushing me to step up as a leader and as an athlete and Coach Eric for coaching me through transitioning positions and moving from benchwarmer to starter
-Arturo, who was a senior my sophomore year, was like a big brother to me and will always be my favorite chemistry back
-I’m thankful for the competitive edge, confidence and close friends that soccer has given me
-After graduation, I’m going to Texas A&M to get a degree in business
-I’m going to continue playing rec soccer in college and hopefully for a while after that too
-My go-to pregame song is Thinkin’ Bout Me by Morgan Wallen
-Right back is my favorite position because I get to go into the attack while still defending
-One thing I’ve started doing this year before every game is putting wrist tape on with a Bible verse
-The word for my soccer career is definitely “yellow”

Here’s a little bit about Bryant Davis #1

Soccer has taught me that hard work can overcome a lot of things and skill isn’t always everything.

Both my parents have been extremely supportive of me through my soccer career. Especially my mom who has pushed me to work hard in a game she loves.

I will most miss getting to hang out with the team, whether it be during a game, practice, or just hanging out. They all made it mean so much more than a game.

I want to thank Coach Z for working with me and helping me to become more confident in myself and a better keeper.

After graduation, I plan on attending Texas A&M University to pursue Nursing.
