☀️ 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗽 ☀️

A summer of eating the things, drinking the drinks, enjoying life, helping barrel racers… oh and doing some workouts in there too 🙃

This summer was the closest to “balanced” as it gets for me.

👉🏼 Busted ass 3-4 days a week with my workouts
👉🏼 Got Tequila in much better shape
👉🏼 Was borderline neurotic about tracking my nutrition 6 days a week

But also enjoyed the hell out of the summer.

Now I get to go into fall at my lowest weight & bf% in years, stronger than I’ve ever been, riding better than I have in years…

And I didn’t have to live a miserable life to get there.

Isn’t that the whole point of this?

Continuing to put this off until January will cost you in the arena this fall.

What’s the point of waiting until January when you could get started now and be 4 months ahead 👀

And after almost 8 years of coaching barrel racers, I promise you can be a completely different athlete in 4 months with the right work & guidance 😉

So how about instead of waiting until January, you get after it now and start the new year with a hell of a lot of momentum.

You don’t have to completely reinvent the wheel to get results… and honestly, I recommend you don’t.

Drastic changes might get you results, but more often than not, it leads to burnout and you not sticking to the changes long enough to see 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 changes.

The little changes and improvements that you make week after week is what will add up to the lasting results you actually see in the arena.

Just like this athlete did.

We didn’t overhaul everything she was doing overnight. She made small improvements that led to massive results in and out of the arena.

Plus having a coach lay out the exact game plan to follow that gets results like this in the arena helps 😉

Just riding more might have been the best option 20 years ago, but that’s not enough anymore.

The horse are stronger, faster, more powerful.

The competition is tougher. Hell, it’s a knife fight at the local jackpot on a Tuesday night.

The horses & competition have evolved, and you need to do the same.

And that includes treating yourself like an athlete & training like one…

Or don’t… and continue donating your entry fees to the barrel racers that do.

Your choice.

I thought it was all downhill in my 30s… until it absolutely wasn’t 😉

For some reason we believe that once you’re out of your 20s, it’s all downhill.

You’ve convinced yourself that was the peak and you’re never going to be able to get back to how you looked, felt or competed at that age.

Society has made you believe that it’s just too hard to look, feel, and - for us as barrel racers - ride better than what you did when you were younger.

But that couldn’t be further from the truth.

It’s not that reaching your goals is “harder” after your 20s, but the process to achieve them is just different.

What got you results 10 years ago isn’t going to do it for you now.

Which is exactly why my Private Coaching athletes (even the ones in their 30s & 40s) see results.

Because we’re not just doing the same thing everyone else does. We’re doing the things that make sense for 𝘆𝗼𝘂.

DM me 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗚 and let’s get you riding better & winning more than you did in your 20s 😉

Reality check - your goals are going to take longer to achieve than you want them to…

Living in this world of instant gratification has caused us to believe if we don’t get the results we want instantly that it’s not working.

Your journey to becoming a better athlete in the saddle is no different.

This s**t takes time. You don’t get to rush it and you have to blindly trust the process sometimes.

But if you stick with it (even when you feel like you’re not progressing fast enough), I can promise you it’ll be worth it when you’re able to show up as a completely different barrel racer this fall.

If you’re struggling with staying consistent on your own, let’s chat about working together so you can stop this whole start & quit 2 weeks later cycle.
