If that feels harsh, it’s probably because there’s some truth in it for you.

These horses don’t owe us a damn thing.

They could care less about the checks, the buckles, the recognition that comes with winning.

They give us everything they have every single run simply because we ask them to.

So knowing that, why is it so easy to find an excuse to not do the things that are going make us the best partner for them…?

Why is it so easy to push off the training, the mobility, the actually fueling your body (read not living on Red Bull & junk food), the things that are going to help you perform at the same level as you expect from your horse…?

These horses don’t owe us anything yet make our wildest dreams come true…

The very least we can do is put in the work to be the very best we can be for them.

And that means making yourself as much of a priority as you make them.

If this is still your mindset, you’re 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 going to the problem in the arena...

Is time in the saddle and active movement beneficial? Absolutely.

However, it’s not the thing that is going to move the needle forward in improving your performance in the arena.

By dismissing the importance of putting in the work on yourself as an athlete outside of the saddle, all you’re going to do is reinforce bad habits you’ve created because of your weaknesses.

It’s no different than addressing your horse’s weaknesses by doing different exercises and drills off the pattern to make them quicker, snappier and overall faster when they do make a run.

If you ignore your horse’s weaknesses, they’ll pick up bad habits to get around those weaknesses and your horse will never reach their full potential in the arena...

The same is absolutely true for you.

DM me “BRF” if you’re ready to stop putting a bandaid on things and never fully reaching your potential in the arena.

Holidays are meant to be enjoyed… not a reason to punish yourself after the fact.

So if you got on the scale this morning and had a minor panic attack, we’re going to step back from the ledge together.

You don’t need more cardio this week.

You don’t need a bigger calorie deficit this week.

You don’t need to feel guilty about enjoying the weekend.

All you need to do is jump back into your normal routine and put in the work… That’s it.

Don’t turn the long weekend into something that it’s not.

Just keep moving forward.

We love an honest horse until you have zero control over your own body during a run...

Which is why I can’t stress the importance of strategically strength training enough.

Body control isn’t something that will just magically improve with more barn chores, more ab exercises & riding more horses.

Being able to control every part of your body during a run - therefore no longer miscuing your horse - comes from increasing your strength in all the right areas

(ps that means not just your abs... 😉)

If you don’t do that... well that honest horse of yours is just going to continue to be a reflection of your weaknesses.

I don’t make the rules - that’s just how it is 🤷🏼‍♀️

Nobody wants to be the reason their horse can’t do their job 👀

But if you’re not showing up physically prepared every time you enter the arena — that’s exactly what’s happening.

Your horse can’t reach his full potential if you’re holding him back.

Getting left behind. Unable to stay in control of your own body. And every other jockey error that keeps costing you.

That’s not a horse problem.

That’s a 𝘆𝗼𝘂 problem.

And the worst part? Your horse just keeps trying to do his job while you make it harder than it has to be.

You’ve invested everything into your horse. The training, the feed, the vet bills, the entries.

But what have you invested into the bigger problem here… 𝘆𝗼𝘂.

Don’t be the weakest link in the arena this summer.

𝗜𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 enrollment closes tonight. This is your last chance to finally change this before doors shut until October.

8 weeks. Sport-specific training built around exactly what your body needs to actually ride — not just survive — your runs.

Limited spots remaining.

DM me 𝗜𝗧𝗠 and I’ll send you the details directly 😉
