Join them as they present on "Sailing North" Including stories about an 7000 NM journey from Auckland New Zealand to Osaka Japan, sailing in the Norwegian Fjords of Tromsø, and their upcoming Greenland Expedition with Arctic Explorers Lonnie Dupre and Pascale Marsceau. Our very own Wayzata Yacht Club / Wayzata Sailing team made it onto the podium again with a 3rd place in the 2025 Sears Cup (a youth keelboat national championship), behind San Francisco YC, tied with Mission Bay YC, and beating host St Francis YC plus 16 other teams from across the US. After winning last year's event in light and shifty conditions in San Diego, they just proved that they can handle heavy air and strong currents in San Francisco Bay right along with the locals. Super sporty event with lots of broaches, two sailors overboard, one broken pole, one broken boom, and a few ripped spinnakers. They made new friends and learned a ton, improving their technique and tactics with every race and were totally dialed in by the last race. They can be very proud of their accomplishment. Congratulations to Ella Bowers, Harper Lundeen-Hetland, Stonewall Anderson Vojtisek, and Dominik Moncur!
