Wai Nani Surf Paddle & Pedal was created out of the passion, enjoyment and escape that one can experience when wandering the waters or trails of Lake Minnetonka. We consistently strive to bring new and exciting water adventures to the Lake Minnetonka area. Lake Minnetonka is a Mdewakantonwan Dakota word which means “Big Water”; the name Wai Nani pays tribute to paddleboarding’s Polynesian origin.

Wai Nani, pronounced why-na-nee, means “beautiful water” in Hawaiian. Our vision is to bring like-minded people together to experience the of wandering the beautiful big water. In the spring of 2019, long-time Wayzata residents the Mullin’s purchased Wai Nani in part to showcase the best our hometown of Wayzata has to offer. This is our 15th Season and we hope to continue providing exemplary paddle and pedal experiences on Lake Minnetonka for years to come.

Thank you for another great season exploring the trails and waters of Lake Minnetonka. Also we wanted to share some exciting news Andrew Mullin the owner of Wai Nani has stepped forward as candidate for Mayor of Wayzata in November.

Andrew loves Wayzata and Lake Minnetonka and you to too. We had received some questions about the path forward for Wai Nani and nothing changes if Andrew were to be elected. We plan on being around next season and beyond!
