💪 One of the biggest WWE stars of all time has a direct connection to Montgomery County.

James Hellwig — better known as The Ultimate Warrior — was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana, in 1959.

He later lived in the Veedersburg area and graduated from Fountain Central High School before becoming one of the most recognizable names in professional wrestling history.

The Ultimate Warrior went on to become WWE Champion, a two-time Intercontinental Champion, and famously defeated Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania VI. 🔥

From being born right here in Crawfordsville to reaching the top of the wrestling world on its biggest stage…

That’s a pretty wild local sports connection. 🤯

BWL | Josh Lyons Is Calling It… Cubs Miss The Playoffs 👀⚾

Breakdown with Josh Lyons is not exactly handing out sunshine on the North Side right now.

Josh is putting the prediction on the table:

The Chicago Cubs will fail to make the playoffs this year.

And Cubs fans… that one hurts.

Because this is the type of team that gives you just enough hope to start checking the standings every night, then turns around and makes you question every bullpen decision, every cold streak, and every “we’re still fine” conversation. 😂

Josh believes the Cubs are going to come up short when it matters most.

Not close enough to celebrate.
Not bad enough to ignore.
Just painful enough to make the fanbase lose its mind.

That is pure Cubs baseball stress.

Now the question is simple…

BSM | Montgomery County Sports Fact of the Day

🏀 Crawfordsville High School once went undefeated AND beat Wabash College twice in the same season.

During the 1906-07 basketball season, Crawfordsville finished 12-0 and handed Wabash its only two losses of the year, winning 23-21 and 24-21. 🤯

But here’s the craziest part…

RALPH JONES COACHED BOTH TEAMS. 😂

Yep. The same man was coaching Crawfordsville High School AND Wabash College at the same time.

Imagine walking into one locker room celebrating a win… knowing you’ve got to walk into the OTHER locker room after the loss. 😂

Just another reason Montgomery County truly is the Cradle of Basketball.

Alright Mountie fans… we’re digging into some old-school Southmont track history for this one. 🔥

⭐ I was a distance runner for Southmont in the 1970s.

⭐ My biggest event wasn’t a sprint — I made my mark in the two-mile run.

⭐ I qualified for the 1976 IHSAA State Finals.

⭐ On the biggest stage in Indiana, I finished 5th in the entire state.
