🤫 SILENT SATURDAY! 🤫
One of our favorite AYSO traditions returns this Saturday May 23. Silent Saturday is a day when we step back, quiet the sidelines, and let the kids play. ⚽
This is a tradition and a culture we stand by at AYSO 572. We believe kids learn the game best when they're trusted to play it. When parents and coaches stop calling every play, the players find their voice. They call for the ball. They lead. They figure it out together.
Here's how it works:
👨‍👩‍👧 Parents & Spectators: Clapping is ENCOURAGED! 👏 Get creative with signs. Just keep the verbal coaching off the field.
🧑‍🏫 Coaches: Save your instruction for pre-game, halftime, and quarters.
⚽ Players: Talk to each other! Lead each other! This is YOUR game today.
🦓 Refs: Carry on as normal. You've got our full support.
Bring your loudest claps and your quietest voices. Let the kids play. 💙💛
