History was made in Romania 🇷🇴

For the first time, Romania witnessed women competing in full contact medieval combat — and they delivered a show to remember.

Three days of fierce duels, intense 5v5 team fights, powerful moments and fighters from different nations meeting in the lists. The tournament came to an unforgettable finish with an all-women 12v12 mass battle.

Huge respect to all the warriors who stepped onto the field and the female teams representing the UK, Finland, Australia, Denmark and the USA for being part of this historic moment.

The future of women’s buhurt is looking stronger than ever ⚔️

Purple People Eaters had a great time debuting on the world stage at .international Invitationals in Oradea, Romania! We had hard fights, hard hits and even found another group of purple lovers from across the Pacific Ocean 🇦🇺

We fought without four of our primary roster so and graciously took the field with us this weekend. Thank you to the River Sirens and the Firestone Phoenixes for lending us these wonderful fighters! While we did not medal this time around, did take home the silver in Women’s Buckler🥈

We were so incredibly blessed to be able to share this tournament with you all. As a young team, this was an invaluable experience. Thank you to all the international women’s teams who made the long trek out + all the amazing marshals and staff for a wonderful event. Special thanks to Ebonie Ramsey acting as our support (and lost glasses finder). Extra special thanks to Corinna Schaal & Max Frei of Germany who both dueled this weekend, but still decided to go the extra mile to provide invaluable support to the melee team.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! On to our next adventure with the People Eaters. ⚔️💜🪽

Last group practice before Invitationals! The weather wasn’t exactly kind but we had great company. ☺️💜

Also, staring a petition to make “dancing to silly little songs” an official part of the pre-armor warm-up regimen.

PPE had a slightly damp, but great showing at the Alex Ding Memorial Tournament: Cincinnati Siege 2026!

Friday saw Christine, Elyce, Leandra & Hunter as competitors in the Buckler category as well as Leandra, Elyce and our mercs Rachel & Rachel in some muddy but killer profights!

The Purple People Eaters took the silver medal in both the Women’s Open & Closed melee categories on Saturday! And on Sunday, Ash armored up once again and participated in some 2v2 women’s exhibition matches.
