Western Carolina and women's golf head coach Anne Marie Covar have added three for the 2026-27 season. Newcomers Julie Mathea Busch Braathen (Askim, Norway), Julia Capellini (Apex, N.C.), Kelsey Haverluck (Westfield, Ind.), and Marissa Scaletta (Belton, S.C.) will all join the Catamount women's golf roster next fall.

We capped off the fall season today in Edisto by firing our lowest 18 hole team score of the semester! Congrats to Elsa on finishing in the top 10 and shooting a new collegiate low today as well! ⭐️

The last two tournaments felt like we got into a rhythm and we continued to get better each week! Headed into the off season on a high note! 👏💪

Fall finale gets underway this morning at the Edisto Island Invitational in the South Carolina Lowcountry! The 54-hole event is scheduled for Sunday through Tuesday with live scoring online at CatamountSports.com.

Western Carolina women's golf closes the fall portion of its 2025-26 schedule on Sunday through Tuesday, traveling to the South Carolina Lowcountry for the Edisto Island Invitational, hosted by the College of Charleston at the par-71, 5,980-yard Plantation Course at Edisto. The event was originally scheduled for three rounds over two days, but with cooler temperatures and rain in the forecast on Monday, officials opted to move the event to three days, opening on Sunday morning.

We were saddened this week to learn of the passing of former head women’s golf coach and WCU Athletics Hall of Famer, Steve Lott. He was a player’s coach, a tremendous mentor, and a driving force for collegiate women’s golf. Rest easy, Coach.
