Let's give a big shout out to these two guys for competing at the NHSCA High School Nationals last week. Lots of tough matches but most of all they had lots of fun and a great experience wrestling against some of the best in the U.S.

Micah comes out with an excellent 5-2 record for the weekend and comes close to getting that All American status.

Aydan goes 1-2 on the week with some very close hard fought matches and gets a win against a solid Utah state runner up.

We are extremely proud of the work these guys put in leading up to the tournament, working hard and cutting weight isn't easy in the off season.

The off-season is optional but so is winning.
You gotta want it!! Go Mountaineers!!

We finally put a bow on the season at our joint wrestling banquet with both our high school and middle school teams. It was a great evening with lots of emotions, we are so proud of all of these guys and girls for their hard work and dedication to the sport of wrestling.

We would like to thank all of the parents and supporters throughout the season, we couldn't do this without support from our community. We always want to make our wrestling community feel just as important as any other sport, we all understand how hard these kids work and knowing how hard we push them as coaches they deserve a great showing of appreciation and respect after the end of each season!

Lastly, we need to give Scooby and her crew at Waylon and Honeys Southern Kitchen a huge thanks for supporting our event with everything we needed including food and the venue, Thank You!!

The Mountaineers wrestled to an 8th place finish in the individual regional over the weekend.

Congratulations to our 3 state qualifiers heading to Greensboro next weekend.

In a very tough regional we would like to recognize all of our wrestlers for an excellent season, lots of growth and potential to come ahead.

A big thank you to our only Senior Aydan Mull on an excellent high school career and his commitment to the wrestling program.

We would like to congratulate our first girl wrestler, Alyssa McAllister, on an extraordinary season. Her freshman season comes to an end with a record of 26-10, and conference runner up.

She fought her way back after a loss in last night's regional and was on the doorstep of making the state tournament before a tough loss in consolation semis, we could not be more proud of her effort and attitude all season and we look forward to her standing on the podium next season.

Please congratulate Alyssa on an excellent season and for being a great role model for other girls!

The Mountaineers went down the mountain and took on a tough Hibriten in the dual playoffs tonight. Our guys wrestled tough but came up short falling to Hibriten 54-23. Proud of the fight everyone has shown and look forward to the next few days. We will travel to the girls regional tomorrow with Alyssa as she tries to punch her ticket to the state tournament. The boys will travel to Maiden for regionals on Friday and Saturday.
