Prairie View Golf Club offers a friendly, relaxing clubhouse on a well-manicured golf course that is enjoyable and challenging to play for all levels of golfers. Prairie View was built on farmland in 1991, so with the trees that were planted back then and over 400 more trees in 2002 the course is becoming more and more challenging every year. Owners of Prairie View golf club are brothers Gary (Lyn

n) and Doug (Fran) Spencer of Waynesfield. Doug handles all the inside operations which includes leagues and outings while gary handles all the outside responsibilities which include applications of chemicals and maintaining equipment. So please come on out and enjoy a taste of the Prairie at Prairie View Golf Club in Waynesfield; Where you're treated like family!

As we celebrate our 25th anniversary this year, we want to acknowledge the tremendous crew we have this season. They are doing a phenomenal job taking care of the course and providing exceptional customer service, ensuring everyone who visits has a great time.

With college semesters approaching, we would like to take this opportunity to thank the team members who will be leaving us soon. Fortunately, a couple of them will still be around to keep Doug sane!

Thank you all for your hard work and dedication.

Kali Kohler is entering her third year at Ohio Wesleyan and ran track. She is majoring in Psychology in Education.

Lea Rudasill is going into her second year of college at Rhoades State, majoring to be a Dental Hygienist.

Bailey VanMeter in going into her senior year at Indiana Tech and is also on the bowling team. Her major is Education.

Faith Ford is going into her junior year at UNOH and is on the bowling team. Her major is Business Administration in the Agricultural field.

Rylie Jeanneret is going into her senior at Wright State. She is on the bowling team there and her major is Clinical Psychology.

These girls have done a wonderful job, and we are so lucky to have them. Whether or not they return for another season, we wish them the best of luck and continued success in the coming years.

2026 Prairie View Golf Club is celebrating our 25th Anniversary of being in business. So we thought we would do a few segments of a "Where are they now?" of some former employees.

Today we are gonna focus on a couple W-G grads, Cynthia Sheldon (Coy) and Cydney Roberts.

Cydney Roberts worked at Prairie View from 2018 and 2019. After working at PVGC she has been a hairstylist in a salon outside of Waynesfield. Cydney is also the Waynesfield Goshen's head varsity softball coach and helped lead them to Regionals in 2025. What she remembered most was "how the Spencer's and everyone at the course treated me like family and how much fun I genuinely had. Even now, when I see anyone from the course or take some time to golf it's the exact same way."

Cynthia Sheldon (Coy) worked at PVGC in 2019 and 2020. After leaving Prairie View she worked as a nail tech until 2024. She married her husband Devin in 2023 and now is a stay at home to her two boys, Case and Cooper. What Cynthia remembers most about PV is "how everyone treats you like family. Looking back, it's the most fun I ever had while 'working'".

Again these ladies are another fine example of what has helped Prairie View to where we are today.

2026 Prairie View Golf Club is celebrating our 25th Anniversary of being in business. So we thought we would do a few segments of a "Where are they now?" of some former employees.

Today we wanna spotlight a couple Pro Shop assistants from the mid 2010's. McKenzie Whitacre worked for Prairie View from 2014-2016. After graduating from BGSU, she now lives and works in Columbus for Abercrombie and Fitch. McKenzie has been married for four years now and is a dog mom. Her and her husband still golf today and has attended the Memorial the past three years and is a huge fan of Scottie Scheffler. McKenzie's favorite memories of PVGC was "...of course the people. Especially working friday nights and having couples league and it was so nice seeing everyone enjoying a meal in the clubhouse after their round!"

Cheyenne Gonzalaz worked at Prairie View from 2015-2017. After graduating from Ohio Northern University she is now an attorney in the Lima area. She says she is really busy her husband and three kiddos. Her favorite memory of PVGC was "I miss the customers that felt like family, of of course seeing grandpa Joe every day I came to work!"

These two are another example as to why Prairie View has had great customer service with our patrons. Very proud of these young ladies

2026 Prairie View Golf Club is celebrating our 25th Anniversary of being in business. So we thought we would do a few segments of a "Where are they now?" of former employees. We wanted to give a shout out to some of our former employees who helped make Prairie View Golf Club who we are today.

Today’s spotlights are brothers Tyler Turner and Cole Turner. Tyler worked at PVGC from 2005 to 2007 and Cole worked here from 2008 to 2010. Both played football for Head Coach Gary Spencer at Waynesfield Goshen. Not only were they two great athletes they were both very fine young men.

Tyler has been married to his wife, Shauna since 2013 and have two daughters. They still live in Waynesfield and Tyler currently is a superintendent at Perry local schools. While working at PV he “learned several turf management techniques that I still use today. I also developed an OCD for mowing straight lines. Unfortunately, I never learned how to put… Lol“

Cole is a double board-certified physician. He completed medical school at Ohio University and he completed his subspecialty training at NYU. Cole lives in Manhattan, NYC and work as neonatal-intensive care physician in a Level-IV NICU. Cole says “Prairie View was the perfect job while balancing school and sports. My bosses (and coaches) were awesome. I loved working outdoors in the sunshine.”

Prairie View is very proud of these two young men!! Congrats guys!!
