Our Spirit Stick recipient this past week was Lilly Jackson! Lilly is a Sophomore, 2 year member of our Varsity team. Lilly has shown great commitment, work ethic, and a strong passion for cheerleading so far this season. She is always working to improve and engage with the crowd. Keep up the positive spirit Lilly- we are proud of you and your growth! ❤️

How long have you been cheering?
“I have been cheering since 1st grade (7 years).”

What does being a Waynesburg Central Cheerleader mean to you ?
“Being a WC cheerleader means that I can be myself around the other girls while getting to bring some excitement to the games.”

What are you looking forward to this season?
“I am looking forward to making fun memories with my team.”

What has been your favorite part of the season?
“My favorite part so far was cheering at the game where all of the middle schoolers came and watched the game.”

What advice do you have for aspiring cheerleaders ?
“ Even if you aren’t sure about it at first, stay on the team! You will make so many fun memories.”

How long have you been cheering?
“This will be my 6th year cheering.”

What does being a Waynesburg Central Cheerleader mean to you ?
“Being a Waynesburg Central cheerleader means a lot to me because it’s takes a lot of courage to show up at tryouts and commit to the whole season. Earning my spot on the team means a lot because I’m able to be apart of the cheer family.”

What are you looking forward to this season?
“I am looking forward to a good first season with my new team.”

What has been your favorite part of the season?
“My favorite part of the season this year was being able to cheer with this seasons seniors before they graduate.”

What advice do you have for aspiring cheerleaders ?
“If I had to give advice, I would say to stay committed and don’t lose your confidence.”

“I am looking forward to doing the performance cheer and basketball season.”

“My favorite part of this cheer season so far is hanging out with my freinds and learning new cheers.”

What advice do you have for aspiring cheerleaders ?
“Something I would say to aspiring cheerleaders is always try your best and never give up.”
