Betina Sanders hosted our speaker last week, Lillie Ruth Brewer, our Wayne County Administrator of Elections. She gave us an update on the upcoming county wide Republican Primary on May 5, 2026. Early voting is April 15-30, 2026 at the Election Office M-F 8am-4pm and Saturdays 8am-12 noon. Everyone is urged to exercise their right to vote and help decide who will be your elected officials for the next 4 years.

Roger Smith recently hosted Kevin Myers from the Lawrenceburg Kiwanis Club. He gave us an update about their main fundraiser with the Harlem Wizards. We are looking forward to possibly bringing an event with the Harlem Wizards next year and we definitely appreciate all the words of wisdom & support from the Lawrenceburg Kiwanis Club. Camryn Eaton was our speaker last week at our Waynesboro Rotary Club lunch meeting. He gave us an update on “BJ’s Love” project that was named after his sweet mother, BJ Eaton, that passed away. This project ensures that each student in our local school system and home school students will receive a sweet treat at for Valentine’s Day. No student is left out and will get a delivery in Friday, February 13, 2026. Thank you Camryn for joining us.

Rotary President Chase Camfield hosted today’s speakers, County commissioner Alvin Creecy & Lindsay Ross, Assistant Solid Waste Director. They spoke on the benefits, logistics, and numbers for our Wayne County recycling program. It was a very informative talk and we are so proud of the recycling program that has grown in our county that helps save taxpayers money each year.
