Thinking about joining the Waves Swim Team? This FREE 3-day program is perfect for swimmers ages 5–18 who want to test the waters before diving in!

On Saturday, June 14th the Waves Swim Team will be hosting the 10th Annual Strokes, Spokes and Strides Triathlon. This is a MAJOR Fundraiser for the Waves Swim Team. In an effort to generate more revenue/profit from this fundraiser for the swim team, we are seeking lap and mile sponsors for the event. Sponsorships are $50.00 each.

Sponsor will have a sign posted on the pool deck or along the race course with the message or logo of their choice. See attached Lap/Mile Sponsor letter for more information on sponsorships.

When all laps & miles are sponsored this will generate close to an additional $2,000.00 in sponorships for the team.

Any Waves family that collects 2 Mile/Lap sponsors for this event will be credited with 1 volunteer credit towards their required summer volunteer hours. In the past we have had businesses, individuals, families and clubs sponsor laps and miles for the Triathlon.

We need to know by Wednesday June 11th if you would like to be a sponsor.

Current Waves Families,

The time has come to register for summer swim. The season is right around the corner and starts this coming Monday, June 2nd! You will have two opportunities to register. We will be stationed in the Community Center at the YMCA tomorrow, Wednesday, May 28th and Thursday, May 29th from 5-6:30pm. Please register first at the front desk and proceed into the community center to complete the process.

If you know of any swimmers that would like to join the team, Rookie Camp will be held next week at the YMCA. Contact the Y for more information.

Mark your calendars for a mandatory parent meeting scheduled for Thursday, June 5th at 5:45 in the Community Room. Attendance at this meeting will count towards one of your mandatory volunteer times.

Spring training registration is open for existing Waves Swim Team kiddos. Please contact the Waynesboro Area YMCA to get them signed up. Spring training starts May 5th and goes until end of May.

We also have Rookie Camp for children that are interested in joining the summer swim team.
