Child Safety Seat Data Collection Today (Wednesday, Aug 26th)
The Wayne Community Activity Center is partnering with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the Nebraska Department of Transportation for child safety seat data collection.

A data collector will be at the CAC observing child safety seat usage in vehicles. They will be positioned so they do not disrupt traffic flow or drop-off/pick-up.

Rec fall sports season is about to kick off, and the Rec Department is looking to hire some referees! We will need six refs per night for flag football, as well as volleyball refs for dates TBD. Get in touch with Zac if you are interested!

Rec Fall Sports Update!

Coaches have been finalized and teams have been assigned for Rec Volleyball & Football! Coaches will now be working on scheduling practices. Once practice days and times are finalized, coaches will email parents with all of the practice information.

5th & 6th Grade Football equipment checkout will be tonight, August 12th, from 6–8pm on the east side of the CAC.

K–4th Grade Flag Football & 3rd–6th Grade Volleyball
practices will begin the week of August 24th. Coaches will reach out to parents with specific practice days and times.

Rec Cheer
Morgan Reynolds will be reaching out to parents with information on when cheer practices will begin.

5th & 6th grade football equipment check out will be Wednesday, Aug 12th from 6-8pm at the shed out back at the CAC (east side). It is closest to park in the high school parking lot and walk down the hill.

Sunday is the deadline to register for Fall Rec Sports! Teams will be assigned and jerseys will be ordered next week1 I am still looking for a couple of volleyball coaches, and football coaches (esp kindergarten fball). Please reach out to Zac if you are interested.

CAC Fall Rec Sports registration closes in 1 week (August 9th)! Please sign up before the deadline. It makes assigning teams and ordering uniforms much easier! You can sign up online at cac.cityofwayne.org.
We are also in need of head coaches in both Football (grades K-4) & volleyball (grades 3rd-6th). Reach out to Zac if you are interested in coaching! Head coaches' kids play for free!
