Some people can breathe every stroke and not only "get away with it," but they can enjoy increased oxygen and even swim quite fast!
If the angle of your hips dictates the height of your elbow during the recovery, you are probably supporting those amazing shoulder joints with your core and your back muscles- yay! Practice alternate breathing and different patterns so you know how to move though the water better and with equal power from both hips. You might never have the flexibility of Eric N but you could swim with some highly coveted "easy speed" (and with fewer shoulder issues). Thanks Breno Melo your balance has improved since this video was shot!

Hi Everyone- things have been going very smoothly with one swimmer per lane at WCP, but we are excited to announce that we are moving to 2 swimmers per lane as of this Monday 8/31!

Here is a review of the process for those who have not yet reserved a spot at a workout.
1. ENROLL in the system. You can not sign up for anything unless the system knows who you are .
https://tms.ezfacility.com/OnlineRegistrations/Register.aspx?CompanyID=1809&GroupID=2755215

2. once you are in the system you can choose a practice and sign up for a spot here: https://wcp.ezfacility.com/Sessions

**Caution! If you skip Step 1 and go straight to Step 2 you will NOT be able to sign up for a spot.
**If you opt out of email notifications in Preferences you will NOT receive any emails from the system which give you helpful reminders of your reservations and/or let you know that you are off the waitlist.

For those of you who wonder how the 2 person-per-lane thing will play out:
*Each bench at the deep end will be marked in half with tape. Each swimmer in a lane has half the bench on which to place their things.
*We will use the shallow end as our home base, so after leaving your stuff and your mask on the bench, you will swim down to the other end (or I will just make the warmup an odd number so it ends at the shallow end!)After the workout you'll exit the pool at the deep end so you are near your masks.
*For the main set, etc. one swimmer will stand at the wall as usual, and the other swimmer will stand at the flags.
*On "go" both swimmers leave simultaneously- the person at the flags goes to the wall and turns, the wall person simply pushes off per usual, and they are CIRCLE SWIMMING.
*We will be circle swimming unless a lane has 2 people of mismatched pace, in which case the swimmers can decide in to SPLIT the lane. Please see my helpful diagram πŸ˜€ if you need help with a visual
