Waxhaw-Marvin Swim and Tennis is located in the Valhalla Farms community. Come join our non-profit volunteer-run pool and tennis club.

Waxhaw-Marvin Swim and Tennis club(formally Valhalla Pool and Racquet club) would like to invite you and your family to join our members for another great season of swimming and year round tennis. Our pool has a relaxing but fun atmosphere for all ages, and includes a volleyball net, diving board and slide. Our 3 lighted tennis courts offer a chance for the whole family to learn and enjoy the gam

Volunteers maintain and run the pool making it affordable for those in the Waxhaw-Marvin community to enjoy. You can be a pool owner without the huge expense and time needed for a backyard pool.

The fully renovated Waxhaw-Marvin Swimming Pool and Tennis facility will be opening in early May. We are accepting new members for tennis/pickleball and/or swimming. For the start of 2025 we are offering a 25% discount on all options thru June 1st. Tennis and pickleball is open year round and the outdoor pool opens earlier than most pools and will remain open until Nov. 1. Waxhaw-Marvin Swim and Tennis will be hosting a Pickleball social on September 20 starting at 5:30. Kyle Williams, Marvin Ridge High School tennis coach, will be offering his coaching skills to those looking for help. Members of the pool and/or tennis club may attend for free, guests are welcome for $20. We will be serving burgers and dogs, please register so we have enough food on hand, Register here for this event.

It is 95 degrees, school started and every other pool closes this weekend. Unlike your n'hood pool, we remain open until the water is below 34 from sunrise to sunset. If you don't have a pool or your Mem Day-Labor Day pool is not enough for you - it is not too late to keep on swimming. Fully renovated and a volunteer-run pool. Due to the lateness, we are offering a 25% discount to the first 25 people/families who join. After that, the full price will be in effect until we reach the waiting list maximum. Pool is open until October 31, Tennis and Pickleball year round. Renovations have begun! The pool has been drained and the jackhammers are chipping away on the total resurfacing of the Waxhaw-Marvin Swim and Tennis swimming pool https://waxhawpool.com/

We can't wait until it is finished with a 100% new swimming surface and tiles. With the tennis court being resurfaced, the addition of pickleball lines & nets, a new parking lot, remodeled bathrooms, and the deck painted the pool club will look better than it did on its opening in 1977. It maintains its quiet tucked-away charm on the Waxhaw and Marvin border inside Valhalla Farms.

Waxhaw-Marvin Swim & Tennis is excited to announce we will be hosting Pickleball Summer camps. Kyle Williams, Coach of the Marvin Ridge High tennis team, will provide instruction for various age groups and skill levels Ages: 7 – 10 & 10 and up.

Campers will learn the 4 main skills of Pickleball; Serving, returning, Third shot, and dinking. In the course of the week, they will learn how to play and keep score. We will have 4 courts and segment players based on age and skill level. Equipment can be provided, however we recommend you have your own paddles.
Limited spots are available.
Fee: $120.00 per week Early bird $97.50 [register and pay by March 31]
Schedule: Daily 8am – 11 am - Week 1 June 10-14, Week 2 June 17-21, Week 6 July 15-19, Week 9 Aug 5-9 (note the weeks are UCPS summer break weeks)

Waxhaw-Marvin Swim & Tennis is pleased to announce we will soon have Pickleball available on our lighted tennis courts. On Friday September 15th from 6-8 pm, Kyle Williams Coach of the Marvin Ridge High tennis team will be hosting an Open Play Pickleball session and providing tips on our six available courts. It is open to the public. Register on the google_doc link below or via the QR code on the flyer.

'Slots are rapidly filling up so register now to reserve a space for a fun-filled evening of America's hottest new sport'. For only $6 beginners thru higher levels (nobody can beat Kyle so don't even think you're that good) are welcome. Open to the public. And pizza will be served as well.
