LAWSON RETURNS TO VICTORY LANE IN CAROLINA SPRINT TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP FINALE
Nichols, SC โ September 26, 2026 โ After a two-year hiatus from Carolina Sprint Tour presented by GSR Chassis Victory Lane, Brianna Lawson returned to the top step Saturday night at Lake View Motor Speedway in the series championship finale.
The victory marked Lawsonโs fourth career Carolina Sprint Tour win and her first since June 2024 at Halifax County Motor Speedway.
Josh Shantz of Salisbury, North Carolina, finished second, while George Loux of Maiden, North Carolina, crossed the line third and was crowned the 2026 Carolina Sprint Tour Champion. Ben McCall of Fayetteville, North Carolina, finished fourth, with Caleb Scarborough of Concord, North Carolina, rounding out the top five.
The evening began with Radical Race Gear Hot Laps, where Scarborough put the Andy Stegall Racing No. 43 atop the charts with a fast time of 16.345 seconds.
In heat race action, Shantz picked up the victory in Heat Race One. Brandon Hughes of Charlotte, North Carolina, crossed the line first in Heat Race Two but was found light at the scales, handing the victory to Scarborough.
Following the redraw, Shantz and Lawson led the field to the green flag for the feature. Lawson got a great start from the outside of the front row, took advantage immediately and never looked back.
While the field battled for position behind her, Lawson remained out front and crossed the finish line first to claim her fourth career Carolina Sprint Tour victory โ this one coming at one of her home tracks.
