Thank you to everyone who came out to help support our wrestling team and police department last night!

Special thank you to the police for continuing to volunteer their time each year. Wrestlers, parents and other workers for your participation and helping prepare and run the event. And to all of our sponsors and community support as our program wouldn’t be where it is without you!

The wrestlers were able to pull ahead early in the game and hold the lead, despite a well-sought rally from the VPD in the last inning. Thus, keeping the traveling trophy in the wrestling room and tying the series up 3-3.

After running this event for 6 years, we couldn’t be more grateful for all the support the community has shown our programs. We have raised a total of $80,000 approximately for our wrestling program over the course of this event, which has helped our teams in more ways than the outside eye can imagine.

Thank you again everyone. We hope your support continues this season and for years to come!

Don't forget to join us this Saturday evening as we take on the Vinton Police Department in a slow pitch softball game at the 6th Annual Pitching for Pins wrestling fundraiser!

- Time - Gates open & other activities start @ 4:00 PM, Game starts @ 5:00 PM

- Location - High School Baseball Field

- Tickets - Adults $10 each, Students $5 each
(each admission will receive 1 free raffle ticket). Free Admission for monetary sponsors.

- Other Activities - Beast & Bird, Sonnie's Coffee & Energy (+Ice Cream), Dunk Tank, Raffle Prizes & more! Fundraiser shirts will also be available for purchase at the event!

That’s a wrap! Chloe Sanders bringing home 7th place from Fargo and Team Iowa achieving 2nd place overall!

For perspective, Fargo is arguably the toughest national tournament, and pinnacle of high school freestyle wrestling, of the year.

Update from Fargo…

Chloe Sanders secures her spot as a Fargo All-American! First ever in school history, girls or boys, to do so. Action continues tomorrow, as she works to continue climbing the podium. For those who know Chloe and what she values, this comes as no surprise. For those who don’t, there’s no luck here. Just an embodiment of hard work, determination, grit and most importantly, faith.
