I've heard this argument so often! My opinion, THEY ALL SUCK! well only if you think your style is the best there is. Never underestimate your opponent. During my many years of training, I've trained in many styles. I've seen great techniques in them all. I stuck with Isshin-Ryu because it was my first official style and my instructors were and still are awesome. Like my head instructor used to say, "if it works, use it". Get your black belt in a reputable style from a reputable instructor. Then add on to it from there. Now don't get me started on different "forms" of karate. I can never pick the best but I sure can pick bad ones 😏. I'd like to list some of my instructors/colleges I've trained with that have influenced my martial arts:
Richard Borrell (Borrell karate academy)
Steve Wren Sr. (My first instructor)
Joe Swift (Tokyo Mushinhan)
Jason Porter (Porter karate)
Jason Rossi (Wolf pack Jiu Jitsu)
And many others through out the years. Without you all it'd never be where I am today. If I've missed any of you it's because the list is huge and my mind is old 😉.
