Few beastly crappies and some bonus perch, that big crappie was 14"! All seem to hit during the drops in the wind speed, anyone else seem to notice subtle weather fluctuations during a bite window?

Great day up north today!

Another multi-species run, it's incredible how two or three holes can produce different species of fish. Crappies, gills, perch, walleye! All within a close proximity and bite window.

I have had quite a few questions lately around what line to use on tip downs. Personally, I like a 6lb Mono main line to a 4lb floro leader using a seaguar knot. For me I think it's a great balance of lightweight and still tough enough for most inland fishing here.

What is your preference? Any go-to's you've found that work best?
