Welcome to the realm of The Wolves of Moria!
We are a Belegarth Medieval Combat Society (BMCS) realm located in Wausau, Wisconsin.
Belegarth is a Medieval Battle Game. We utilize safe, padded weapons, medieval clothing, and authentic armor to create a truly medieval experience for our participants. Similar to a traditional LARP Belegarth differs in that we do not use magic, class or role play. Our game is more focused on the combat!
If you are a fan of medieval fantasy, tales of knights in the Middle Ages, pillaging Vikings, or monsters on the prowl; Belegarth might be for you! Belegarth was originally created as a way for college students to reenact their favorite battle scenes from the Lord of the Rings!
Participants MUST be 18 years old or older.
Located in Wausau, Wisconsin, we practice at the Airport park (by the soccer fields) on Lake View Dr. on the SE side of Wausau. Practice is normally held from 9am-noon on Saturdays. During winter or when weather is rainy we meet at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints gymnasium at 5405 Rib Mountain Dr.
Our practices are completely free of charge! If you are interested in trying out Belegarth all you have to do is show up in comfy cloths, shoes you can run in, and a large water bottle (you are definitely going to need it!) We have loaner weapons and gear available.
