2020 IAT adventure

2020 IAT adventure Well March 2020, I decided to complete the Ice Age Trail. Thanks to the friends and family who have hiked with me or simply cheered to keep going.

The IAT is truly a blessing to me. Hope you get to enjoy. Planning to finish summer 2021.

As of today February 5th, 2023 here's what is completed so far in red.

Next weekend, I am planning to finish Dane County.

Special thanks to my cousin Chris Dolan for the shuttle last weekend.

Looking forward to hiking together next weekend too.

Footwear review:

Danner Wmns Andrika Hiker Plaza Taupe

So this pair has a few hundred miles on them and were easily my go to pair.

Right out of the box, they were comfortable, supportive, and mostly reliable grip on rocks, wet roots, and slippery creek crossings.

This pair caused me the least amount of hot spots for hikes up to 22 miles a day.

Granted, I wore these more miles than I should have the protective toe bumper is pulling away from the forefoot.

Thanks to Danner Dry technology, my feet would stay dry up past the 4th eyelets.

Honestly bought these boots direct by chance on the Danner website bargin bin and so glad I did.

Highly recommend!

Completed the connector route from the end of Chaffe Creek to Westfield. Enjoyed hiking with my cousin Teri and her beautiful boys Charlie and Yukon.
Waushara County is now complete and officially on the Eastern Burification route.
Can't wait to keep going.
14.5 miles completed. Beautiful weather.
