Wausau Area Pickleball Club is giving back! Club members are donating gently worn tennis shoes for the Sneakers4Good Program.
Donation boxes were available at the resent Winter Badger State Games held at the Wausau Tennis and Pickleball Club in January. A few of the WAP members posed for a photo to share on social media. The members will be eligible for a Sneakers4Good swag bag full of goodies and entered in a contest to win a $100 gift card.
The gently worn sneakers are sent into the Sneakers4Good organization to be refurbished for third world countries and also keeps them out of our landfills. The money received as we continue to send in the gently worn sneakers will be donated to the Marathon County Homeless Shelter.

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND ROUND ROBIN AT WAUSAU TENNIS AND PICKLEBALL CENTER on Sunday May 25th. All levels are encouraged to join us for this social event. We will play a round robin from 3:00-6:00 with leveled courts. A winner will be crowned. Only $5. Please register on Court Reserve. Enjoy a nacho bar with us after the event. Bring your own drinks and dessert if you would like to share.

I have paddle bands available again this year. I will place the order on June 3rd. There will be a sign up sheet at the park or at the downtown Y when Paula is playing. The regular price is $12.98. WAP members can buy them for $5 per band and non members can buy for $7. Watch for the sign up!

We just set up an event at Wausau Tennis and Pickleball Center on May 20th from 6:00-9:00 pm for only $7. Head on over to Court Reserve a grab a spot. It is going to be cold, windy and rainy on Tuesday night but warm and dry at the Wausau Tennis Center. Let me know if you need any help getting signed up. 715-297-2119

Scoot on over to Court Reserve to save a spot. Open play will be hosted from 9:00-12:00 for only $5.00 . Drop in for an hour or for 3 hours! OPEN PLAY! Thursday, April 24th 12:30-2:30 at Wausau Tennis and Pickleball Centre! Come join intermediate players for a fun afternoon of Open Play Pickleball. This is a great way to meet and mingle with new players. Grab a friend and join in the fun. We will limit the number of players so you won't need to wait for a FUN game of pickleball. If we get enough players, Andrea will run a Picklehead Round Robin event. And that is a blast! Register on Court Reserve to save your spot!
