Waunakee Varsity Dance Team We are the Waunakee High School Varsity Dance Team, from Waunakee, Wisconsin.

The purpose of the Waunakee Dance Team is to promote school spirit, provide entertainment at athletic events, and to represent the school and community at community events and dance team competitions. The mission is to provide dancers with a successful and meaningful educational experience. Team members have strong personal goals of high academic achievement, increasing their dance ability, learni

ng effective time management, and forming strong friendships. The success of this team is due to a strong commitment from the dancers, parental involvement, and experienced coaches. The dancers exhibit good sportsmanship, positive attitudes toward team members, competitors, schoolmates, and parents. Head Coaches:

Come join the Waunakee Community High School Varsity Dance Team for our annual kids clinic! Your child will have the opportunity to learn a fun routine from the high school dancers and then perform it at Warrior Stadium during half time of the Varsity Football Game! Plus, each dancer will receive a t-shirt at practice to wear during the Friday night performance! We hope to see you all there!

Last night we closed out our season with our senior night performance of the senior choreographed homecoming routine and banquet afterwards. To say we are proud of these girls is an understatement. They put in so much work in throughout the season and didn’t let anything stop them from making it to state.

We had the honor of handing out awards at banquet as well, all were voted by our team.
Our first award “Rookie of the Year”, went to our freshman Adaline. Adaline always put hard work in at practice, and pushed herself to be the best dancer she could be.
Next up, Junior Ava took our “MVD, Most Valuable Dancer,” award. Ava was always ready to help others, in and out of dance team, supporting anyone who needed it.
Our last award goes to Freshman Lauren, titled “Most Improved Dancer,” we have seen so much improvement with her this season and her dancing, and can’t wait to see her what she does next.
Thank you girls!

Lastly, we want to say thank you to our captains for helping to guide us through this tough season, and supporting us through every up and down. We wouldn’t have got to where we are without them!

Why did you join WHS dance team: my sister was on the team for all of high school and all of my friends freshman year told me that I should try out!
