We’ll once again be staining the wooden playground, and we’re going to need lots of volunteers to get the job done!

Over the weekend, the Waukon Park and Rec Department experienced several disappointing acts of vandalism.

Memory stones were moved and intentionally used to try and jam up the park spring.

Additionally, our public restrooms were significantly vandalized.

When things like this happen, it takes valuable city resources, time, and tax dollars away from maintaining the beautiful spaces we all enjoy.

Parents: We kindly ask that you please monitor your children and have a conversation with them about respecting public property so these amenities can remain open and safe for everyone.

If you have any information: If you saw anything suspicious or know who is responsible for this damage, please come forward.

We have an amazing city park and workers who work to keep it beautiful for everyone, let’s all help out to keep it beautiful.
