Just minutes from the Milwaukee metro area, Wern Valley has been providing sportsmen and women with unique shooting sports experiences for more than 40 years. Spread out on over 600 rolling acres, Wern Valley is best known for its quality upland hunting and habitat, world class sporting clays, special events, and strong commitment to the shooting sports and conservation. The Club and its staff take great pride in producing premium quality gamebirds and providing outstanding service to all customers. Pheasant hunting membership information can be found at wernvalley.com. At Wern Valley, hunting seasons runs from October 1st to April 15th, open six days a week with three hunt shifts per day. The twelve hunting fields at Wern Valley are second to none for a quality hunting experience, each one unique with varying size, terrain and cover. A log cabin-style clubhouse features a wood burning fireplace and a full stocked bar for you to enjoy after the hunt. Attached to the clubhouse is a bird cleaning facility as well as dog cleaning station. There are also pheasant products including pot pies, snack sticks, and brats for purchase! Wern Valley is home to one of the most beautiful and unique sporting clays courses in the country, and shooting is open to the public year-round. The sporting clays course is open from March thru October; and two enclosed 5-Stands are open during winter months. Summer, fall, winter and spring shooting leagues attract hundreds of shooters, as do the monthly NSCA registered shoots. Sporting clays and 5-stand make for a great bachelor party, corporate outing, or fundraiser! The Club's Annual Great Cancer Shootout Fundraiser takes place the last Saturday of July. Trial hunts and/or a tour of the Club are available to prospective members by reservation during hunting season.

The racing season is over. Your Wern Valley car built and driven by Chester Williams finished 2nd in points in the hobbystock division at Jefferson Speedway. Not bad at all! We will be back next year for a shot at 1st!

Wern Valley is hiring! Sporting Clays Course

Wern Valley is looking for someone to join our sporting clays team and help maintain and operate our sporting clays course.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being outdoors, working around fi****ms and shooting sports, and having a job that's a little different from the usual 9-5.

We're looking for someone who is:
-Reliable and responsible
-Comfortable working outdoors
-Able to work independently
-Friendly and enjoys customer interaction
-Interested in shooting/outdoor recreation

Experience is a plus but not a requirement. The job includes things like:
-Loading trap machines and UTV operation
-Pulling 5-stand
-General course upkeep and other day-to-day tasks
-Machine maintenance; on the fly troubleshooting

Approximately 20-30 hours per week. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Competitive pay.

Congratulations to the 2026 summer sporting clays league champions, Average Joes! The 15-week league had 35 teams this year.

Congratulations as well to High Gun Tony Tromblay with an average of 48.66 and High Lady Katie Brewster with an average of 44.66.

The Wern & Wi******er 200 is just over two weeks away! Come out to Wern Valley Sportsmen's Club & Wi******er Gun Club next Saturday, September 12th for a 100-bird event at each club. Feel free to shoot just one, or both events.

Please allow for 3+ hours in between squad times to allow for shooting and transportation. $7 from each shooter will be taken and put into a separate combined Lewis. Shooters participating at both clubs will be automatically entered.

As summer winds down and hunting season gets closer, now is the perfect time to brush up on your shooting! Wern Valley's 8-week Fall League begins Wednesday, September 2nd and goes until the end of October. The Fall League consists of both sporting clays as well as 3-bird hunt & cover (3BHC). Sporting clays is teams of four to seven, and 3-bird hunt & cover is teams of two.

The league starts on Wednesday, September 2nd and runs for eight weeks. The banquet is Wednesday, November 4th. More information can be found at www.wernvalley.com/leagues.

Happy national dog day from Wern Valley! Today we are celebrating our four-legged members of the club. From the first whistle to the last retrieve, a good hunting dog makes every day in the field a great day. Here's to the dogs that chase, retrieve, point, and never seem to get tired.

Super Sporting returns! Come out to Wern Valley on Saturday, October 3rd for 100 super sporting and/or 50 5-Stand. Don't forget that our next registered shoot, the Wern & Wi******er 200, is on Saturday, September 12th with spots available!

We are honored today to host a celebration of life for Dave Hollub- a good friend and member from years ago. Dave was a retired Waukesha County Officer who recently passed away from liver cancer. An officer proudly sat at the end of our driveway during Dave’s COL. Dave was a great guy and will be missed!
