⚾ GAME DAY UNDER THE LIGHTS! ⚾

The Mighty Biscuits are back in action Monday night as they take on the Kookaburras for the second straight day, this time under the lights at beautiful Wintrust Field in Schaumburg.

After a strong Father's Day performance yesterday, the Biscuits will look to keep the momentum rolling. The Kookaburras, meanwhile, will be looking to bounce back and even the score in what should be another competitive matchup between two talented clubs.

There's nothing quite like baseball on a summer night. Bright lights, fresh grass, and another opportunity to take the field with the boys.

⚾ FATHER'S DAY SHUTOUT! ⚾

The Mighty Biscuits picked up a 6-0 Father's Day victory over the Kookaburras, improving to 7-4 on the season.

Making his first start of the season, Caedon was outstanding on the mound, tossing 7 scoreless innings to earn the win. He kept the Kookaburras off the scoreboard all morning and gave the Biscuits exactly the kind of start they needed.

The offense did more than enough to back him up. Bill Balatsos continued his hot streak at the plate, leading the charge with 2 doubles, a triple, and 2 runs scored. The Biscuits consistently applied pressure throughout the game and capitalized on their scoring opportunities.

The pitching staff combined for the shutout, the defense played clean baseball behind them, and the offense delivered timely hits when it mattered most.

A complete team effort and a great way to celebrate Father's Day with another win as the Biscuits improve to 7-4 on the season.

⚾ FATHER'S DAY BASEBALL ⚾

The Mighty Biscuits are back on the field this Father's Day as they take on the Kookaburras in a morning showdown at Loyola Sports Academy.

Fresh off a weekend sweep of the Devils, the Biscuits enter the day with momentum and a 6-4 record. The pitching staff continues to lead the way, the defense has been strong, and after putting up 22 runs in the last doubleheader, the offense will look to keep the bats hot.

It won't be easy against a tough Kookaburras club, but the Biscuits will look to keep the good vibes rolling and make it three straight wins.

⚾ WEEKEND SWEEP! ⚾

The Mighty Biscuits returned from the three-week layoff in a big way last Saturday, sweeping the Devils and improving to 6-4 on the season.

The Martin brothers got the starts on the bump for the doubleheader and helped set the tone all day long.

Game 1 saw the Biscuits offense erupt for a season-high 15 runs in a 15-7 victory. Making a spot start in his first pitching appearance of the season, Christopher Martin earned the win, allowing just one unearned run while adding 2 hits, a walk, and an RBI at the plate. The entire lineup contributed in the most productive offensive performance of the season.

Game 2 featured plenty of drama. After falling behind 4-0 early, the Biscuits battled back for a 7-6 walk-off victory in the bottom of the 7th to complete the sweep.

Timothy Martin got the Game 2 start, while John Smith earned his first win of the season in relief. Bill Balatsos (3 hits, double, 2 runs, 2 RBIs) and Mike Ruffolo (2 hits, double, run scored) helped lead the comeback, with Balatsos ultimately crossing the plate with the game-winning run.

The pitching staff continued to be the foundation, the defense came up with key plays, and the offense came alive, plating 22 runs across the doubleheader.

A perfect way to return from the break and move two games above .500.

⚾ WE ARE BACK! ⚾

After three weeks away from the diamond, the Mighty Biscuits return this Saturday for a doubleheader showdown with the Devils at Lake Park.

The Biscuits enter the weekend at 4-4 and looking to shake off the rust after the long layoff. Two games. Two opportunities. One goal: sweep the day and get back above .500.

Before the break, pitching was the clear strength of this team and gave the Biscuits a chance to win every time they took the field. The defense backed it up with strong play all over the diamond. If the offense can heat back up and get cooking again, it should help take some pressure off the run prevention side and turn quality baseball into more trips to the win column.

⚾ Doubleheader Split ⚾

The Mighty Biscuits head into a 3-week bye after splitting a hard-fought doubleheader with the Blue Jays.

Game 1 belonged to Timothy Martin, who got the start on the bump and fired 5 shutout innings before handing things over to John Smith, who slammed the oven door shut for his 3rd save of the season while surviving a late 7th inning rally from the Blue Jays. Timothy Martin, Ben Cole, and Anthony Alvarez all collected 2 hits in the victory as the offense manufactured just enough runs to secure the 3–2 win.

Game 2 saw Jake McCabe pitch another great game and give the Biscuits every chance to pull off the sweep, but the offense could never fully get going in the 4–2 loss. Michael Wieringa and Vincent Bruce both collected multiple hits, while Bill Balatsos launched one deep off the left field ivy before also tossing 2 shutout innings in relief to keep the comeback hopes alive late.
Not the sweep we wanted, but plenty to build on heading into the break. Time to recharge, tighten things up, and come back cooking.

⚾ Sunday Doubleheader ⚾

The Mighty Biscuits are back at Al Grosche Field this Sunday for a doubleheader showdown with the Blue Jays as we look to keep building momentum after getting back to .500 last weekend.

Two games. Two chances to keep the oven hot. First pitch flies at 10 AM, with Game 2 rolling at 1 PM. Time to stay buttery, manufacture runs, and defend the kitchen all day long.

⚾ Biscuits Win! ⚾

The Mighty Biscuits take down the Smokies 10–6 and battle back to .500 (3–3) on the season after a gritty team win at Al Grosche Field.

Timothy Martin went 4 strong innings to start the day before turning things over to the bullpen. Then, with the game suddenly in danger in the 9th, he stepped back onto the mound with the bases loaded and nobody out to shut the door and earn the save.

Jake McCabe picked up the win on the mound with 3 quality innings in relief, while Bill Balatsos also pitched great out of the bullpen to help steady things late.

Michael Ruffolo and Michael Kovalenko got hot at the plate with 3 hits each, helping lead an offense that finally broke through for 10 runs for the first time this season. The game stayed tight early, but the Biscuits turned up the heat late and created enough separation to survive the late inning scare.

The defense showed flashes of greatness throughout the day despite a few hiccups along the way, and everyone in the lineup contributed to manufacturing runs in a complete team offensive effort.

The bats were cooking. Big team win. 🧈⚾

Saturday morning baseball is back on the menu as the Mighty Biscuits head to Waukegan for a 9 AM matchup against the Smokies at Al Grosche Field. Time to shake off the crumbs from last weekend, get back in the oven, and bring the heat from first pitch to final out.
