Decided to coach track this past school year since I was a huge track kid back in high school. I worked with our hurdlers, high jumpers, 400 runners, and 4x400 teams — and it ended up being one of the most exciting seasons I’ve been a part of 🏆🔥

We finished with multiple individual league champions, new school records, and a Girls Team League Championship 🥇💪 On top of that, 6 of our athletes qualified for Central Coast Sections — placing top 6 in their events out of 35 schools. Proud is an understatement. Let’s run it back next year. 🏃‍♂️💨

What. A. Season.

Last year, this team didn’t win a single game. This year, they made history. A complete turnaround, finishing 10-2-1 (7-1 in league) and bringing home St. Francis’ first-ever League Championship in Girls Soccer!

With 47 total goals this season and an opportunity to clinch a playoff spot next week, I couldn’t be prouder of this incredible group of girls. Their hard work, resilience, and heart made this season unforgettable.

So lucky to be part of this program—let’s keep it going! One more game to punch our ticket to playoffs!

Happy Birthday to the most incredible mom! 🎉💕 From those early mornings and late nights driving me to sports functions and coaching from the sidelines, you’ve always been my greatest supporter and my inspiration. Watching you impact every student with such dedication during your 30+ years as a teacher has shaped my own path in more ways than I can count. You’re the reason I pursued my master’s degree—to finally be able to say, ‘Look, Mom, you’re not the only one with a master’s in the family!’ You’ve been my role model and my guide, turning each day into a lesson and every challenge into a victory. Yesterday’s group session was a blast! Love seeing young superstars in the making want to come out and get better every week on top of their already busy schedules. A year ago, I embarked on a journey not just to further my education, but to dive deeper into the vast, unexplored waters of marine science, with a focus on conserving our ocean’s most prestigious guardians: sharks. Today, after navigating through five intense terms, juggling double courses all while balancing the demands of work and coaching, I stand at a remarkable milestone. I’ve officially received my Master’s in Professional Science diploma, achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA. 🦈

After three and a half remarkable years as a Para, working alongside the inspiring Mrs. White, (we started together over Zoom and I haven’t been in a classroom without her since), a new chapter unfolds. Come January, I will be stepping into my own realm of discovery as a Biology teacher🧫🧬🔬. My journey with Soquel continues as a coach, and I carry the hope of returning next fall, possibly to teach there, embracing the Knight Pride⚔️ full circle.

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to all the teachers, counselors, staff, and administrators who’ve been pivotal over these years. A special shout-out to the SPED Department — you’ve been more than my coworkers; you’ve been family. 💓
